Abstract: A translation device is configured to translate from a first language into a second language and includes a first language acquisition unit, a polyseme processor, and a first language output unit. The first language acquisition unit acquires a sentence in the first language. The polyseme processor determines whether or not a word in the second language for a word in the first language included in the sentence is a polyseme, and acquires a plurality of candidate meanings for the word in the second language when the word in the second language is determined as a polyseme. The first language output unit outputs the plurality of candidate meanings.

Abstract: A voice input device includes an input unit, a storage unit, an operation unit, and a controller. The input unit acquires a voice and generates voice data corresponding to the voice. The storage unit stores the voice data inputted from the input unit. The operation unit is operated by a user. The controller determines a voice activity period in which voice recognition is performed on the voice data stored in the storage unit based on a user's operation on the operation unit. Then, upon detecting a predetermined operation on the operation unit made by the user, the controller adjusts the determined voice activity period.

Abstract: A translation device includes an input unit and a controller. The input unit obtains first text data in a first language. The controller generates second text data in a second language that is a translation of the first text data. The controller further generates first replacement data by replacing a first term, of a predetermined type, contained in the first text data by a parameter, obtains second replacement data, in the second language, corresponding to the first replacement data, and generates the second text data by replacing the parameter contained in the second replacement data by a second term in the second language that is a translation of the first term.

Abstract: A translation device includes an input unit, a controller, a notification unit, an output unit, and a memory. The input unit inputs an utterance of a speaker to generate utterance data. The controller determines accuracy of a translation result when translated utterance data from the utterance data is obtained. The notification unit notifies the speaker of the determination result of the controller. The output unit outputs a translated utterance according to the translated utterance data. The memory stores dictionary data associating utterance data with translated utterance data. The controller performs translation based on the dictionary data. When the controller determines that the accuracy of the translation result is lower than a predetermined value, the controller controls the output unit not to output the translated utterance, and controls the notification unit to issue a notification regarding the determination result.

Abstract: A translation device comprises: a memory that stores first dictionary information including a replacement target term in a first language and a translated word in a second language for the replacement target term in association with each other, and second dictionary information including an alternative term instead of the replacement target term; a controller that replaces the replacement target term included in an input sentence with the alternative term to generate a replaced sentence; and a communication interface that outputs the replaced sentence to an external device and acquires a translation result of the replaced sentence in the second language from the external device. The controller detects a specific character string in the translation result of the replaced sentence acquired from the communication interface, and replaces the detected character string with a translated word associated with the replacement target term in the first dictionary information, to generate a translated sentence.

Abstract: In a wearable translation device, the control circuit obtains an audio signal of the second language, which has been converted from a first audio signal of the first language, and obtains a second audio signal of the first language reconverted from the audio signal of the second language. The first speaker device converts the audio signal of the second language into a first voice and outputs the first voice. The second speaker device converts the second audio signal of the first language into a second voice and outputs the second voice. The audio processing circuit executes such a process that the second voice from the second speaker device is directed toward an auditory part of a user, based on a position of the auditory part relative to the second speaker device.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a sound collection apparatus in which a user can easily find a sound collection direction, and furthermore, can readily control the sound collection direction. A sound collection apparatus comprises: an operation unit capable of visually indicating one direction and three-dimensionally and sequentially varying the direction; a sound collection unit that provides directivity for sound collection; and a control unit. The control unit includes a direction detection unit for detecting a direction indicated by the operation unit. The control unit controls the collection directivity of the sound collection unit according to the direction detected by the direction detection unit. The sound collection unit includes a plurality of microphones. The control unit further includes a beam forming production unit for controlling a beam by a microphone array including the plurality of microphones according to the direction detected by the direction detection unit to vary collection sound directivity.
