摘要: A human-state estimating method includes: obtaining a thermal sensation index obtained by indexing, in a specified range, an estimated thermal sensation of a person; determining whether or not the obtained thermal sensation index is in a predetermined range in the specified range; and estimating a human state, which is a state of the person, based on a physiological amount in which an activity of an autonomic nervous system of the person is reflected, the physiological amount being obtained when it is determined that the obtained thermal sensation index is in the predetermined range.

摘要: A lens allows infrared light to pass therethrough. An infrared sensor includes infrared detection elements arranged in two or more columns. The infrared sensor is rotated around a scan rotation axis that passes through part of the lens to scan a detection range, and outputs an output signal indicating a thermal image of the detection range. At least two infrared detection elements in the infrared sensor are located at positions displaced from each other with respect to the scan rotation axis. Among the infrared detection elements, the number of first infrared detection elements having a smaller half-width of a point spread function in a scan direction than that in the direction of the scan rotation axis is larger than the number of second infrared detection elements having a larger half-width of a point spread function in the scan direction than that in the direction of the scan rotation axis.

摘要: A detection device includes: a light source that emits, toward an object, light of a first wavelength band, and light of a second wavelength band that is less readily absorbed by water than the light of the first wavelength band; a polarization splitter that splits at least one of S-polarized light and P-polarized light from light that has been reflected or scattered at the object; a photoreceptor that receives light reflected or scattered at the object via the polarization splitter; and a control unit that determines a state of the object from information based on light received by the photoreceptor. The light emitted by the light source is random polarized light where the ratio of P-polarized light and S-polarized light is generally uniform.

摘要: A light radiating portion radiates light with wavelength λ1 having predetermined absorptivity for an object and light with wavelength λ2 having smaller absorptivity for the object than the wavelength λ1, to a target, so as to scan in 2-dimensional directions. A light receiving portion receives scattered lights reflected by the target based on light with wavelength λ1 and light with wavelength λ2. A measuring portion generates information used for detection of the object at the target, based on difference between the two scattered lights with wavelength λ1 and wavelength λ2 received by the light receiving portion. An output portion outputs whether or not the object is present at the target, by 2-dimensional area information, based on scanning by the light radiating portion and information generated by the measuring portion.

摘要: A wakefulness inducing device includes: a heat dissipation intensity obtainer obtaining a user's heat dissipation intensity from a heat dissipation intensity sensor; and a controller controlling an air conditioner to alternate the user's heat dissipation intensity between a first heat dissipation intensity and a second heat dissipation intensity lower than the first heat dissipation intensity. The controller alternates the user's heat dissipation intensity by controlling the air conditioner based on the user's heat dissipation intensity to set a first time period longer than a second time period. In the first time period, the user's heat dissipation intensity increases from the second heat dissipation intensity to the first heat dissipation intensity, or remains at the first heat dissipation intensity. In the second time period, the user's heat dissipation intensity decreases from the first heat dissipation intensity to the second heat dissipation intensity, or remains at the second heat dissipation intensity.
