Abstract:
The invention provides a lighting unit configured to generate white light wherein the white light has a spectral intensity in the visible wherein at least 40% of all photons in the wavelength range of 400-500 nm are found in the wavelength range of 430-445 nm (see also FIG. 1b). The lighting unit may especially be used for increasing alertness of a human while not or minimally suppressing melatonin production of the human.
Abstract:
There is provided a lighting system for illuminating a space, the lighting system comprising: at least one light source; and at least one controller configured to: receive an indication of a pre-selected duration of an emission period for which the at least one light source is to emit light; control the at least one light source to emit light for the duration of the emission period, select a first spectrum in dependence on the duration of the emission period, and control the at least one light source to emit the light with the first spectrum during at least part of the emission period. There is also provided a display apparatus, a method and a computer pro gram product.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system (100) for sensing ambient light intensity, comprising a wearable device (10) with at least one pair of light receivers (20, 22, 23, 24, 25) arranged in two different positions for receiving light from the two different directions, and a control unit (110) configured to determine a directional illuminance based on light intensities of the light received by the pair of light receivers (20, 22, 23, 24, 25).
