Abstract: A charger information holding unit of a management system holds an identification information item and charging efficiencies of a plurality of chargers for charging an electric vehicle, the identification information item and the charging efficiencies being associated with each other. A communication unit of the management system receives an identification information item on a charger from an electric vehicle connected to the charger, via a network. A creating unit of the management system creates a charging plan for the electric vehicle, based on a required charging amount and a target charging termination time. The creating unit of the management system refers to the charger information holding unit and determines a charging efficiency of the charger connected to the electric vehicle, based on the received identification information item, and creates a charging plan with the charging efficiency of the charger. The communication unit of the management system transmits the created charging plan to the electric vehicle via the network.

Abstract: When a use range of an SOC (State Of Charge) of a secondary battery is expanded, the use range of the SOC is expanded by increasing an upper limit value or decreasing a lower limit value of the use range of the SOC. The increasing the upper limit value or decreasing the lower limit value of the use range of the SOC is determined to a side causing a smaller increase in a degradation rate of the secondary battery, based on at least one of a cycle degradation characteristic that defines a cycle degradation rate in accordance with the use range of the SOC and a current rate of the secondary battery and a storage degradation characteristic that defines a storage degradation rate in accordance with the SOC and a temperature of the secondary battery, and a typical use condition of the secondary battery based on a use history of the secondary battery.

Abstract: An input and output device of an inspection device is configured to instruct charging devices capable of charging respective cells to perform constant current charging or constant voltage charging, and acquire a voltage value and a current value of each of the cells from corresponding one of the charging devices. A controller of the inspection device is configured to instruct the charging devices to perform constant current charging of the respective cells, and perform constant voltage charging of the respective cells when a voltage value of each of the cells acquired from corresponding one of the charging devices reaches a preset value. The controller of the inspection device is configured to determine presence or absence of a micro-short circuit in each of the cells with reference to a peak current value of corresponding one of the cells generated in switching from the constant current charging to the constant voltage charging.

Abstract: Controller determines an output limit value that defines an upper limit of a current or power recommended for suppressing cell deterioration based on a voltage, a current, and a temperature of each cell, and notifies host controller in electric vehicle of the determined output limit value. When electric vehicle climbs a hill, controller calculates a current value or power value to be discharged from power storage unit, the current value or power value being required for electric vehicle to climb the hill at a speed not less than a set minimum speed, while suppressing an amount of deterioration of cells within an allowable range, and when the calculated current value or power value is larger than the output limit value, replaces the output limit value with the calculated current value or power value.

Abstract: A controller executes an equalization process of equalizing capacities of a plurality of cells, and a cell abnormality determination process of, of detected voltages of the plurality of cells, calculating a voltage difference between a representative voltage based on the detected voltage of at least one cell to be compared and the detected voltage of one cell to be detected at a first time and a second time, and when a difference between the two voltage differences is greater than or equal to a threshold value, determining that the cell to be detected is abnormal. In the case of executing the cell abnormality determination process during the equalization process, the controller provides the detected voltage of a target cell to be subjected to the equalization process with a compensation value corresponding to a voltage change based on energy transfer in the target cell due to the equalization process between the first time and the second time, and calculates the voltage difference at the second time.

Abstract: Provided is a controller configured: to calculate, among voltages detected from a plurality of cells, a voltage difference between the voltage detected from one cell of the plurality of cells, the one cell to be detected, and a representative voltage at each of a first time and a second time, the representative voltage based on the voltage detected from at least one cell of the plurality of cells, the at least one cell to be compared; and when a discrepancy between the voltage difference at the first time and the voltage difference at the second time is equal to or more than a threshold, to determine that an abnormality has occurred in the one cell to be detected. The controller refers to a state-of-charge versus open-circuit-voltage (SOC-OCV) curve of the one cell to be detected in accordance with a state-of-health (SOH) of the one cell to be detected, so as to estimate an SOC as initial capacitance reference of the one cell to be detected in correspondence to the voltage detected from the one cell to be detected. The controller introduces a linear function using an SOC as initial capacitance reference as an input variable, using an OCV as an output variable, and having a predetermined inclination, and applies the SOC as initial capacitance reference of the one cell to be detected that the controller has estimated to the linear function, so as to derive an OCV. Then, in place of the voltage detected from the one cell to be detected, the controller uses the OCV that the controller has derived, so as to calculate the voltage difference at the first time and the voltage difference at the second time.
