    Abstract: Provided is a controller capable of preventing card makers from conducting unauthorized acts. The controller includes: a controller key storage unit configured to hold a controller key that has been embedded by a controller manufacturing device in advance; a decryption unit configured to receive encrypted media key information that has been generated by a key issuance center that is authorized and to decrypt the received encrypted media key by using the controller key, the encrypted key information generated through encryption of key information with use of the controller key; and an encryption unit configured to encrypt the decrypted media key again by using an individual key that is unique to the controller.

    Abstract: A recording medium enables special playback processing although part of the AV stream recorded therein is transformed. An AV stream, a first EP map, and a second EP map are recorded on the recording medium. In the AV stream, a part of the multiplexed stream including a first video stream and a second video stream is transformed. The first EP map indicates one or more entry points of the first video stream and the second EP map indicates one or more entry points of the second video stream. TS packets constituting I-pictures of the first video stream are indicated by every 4N-th entry point in the first EP map, and TS packets constituting I-pictures of the second video stream are indicated by the entry points whose presentation time is closest to the presentation time of any one of the every 4N-th entry point in the first EP map.

    Abstract: Provided is an information processing device including a data processing unit that executes reproduction processing of content recorded in an information recording medium. The content includes an individual segment region formed of a plurality of variation data in which identification information different from each other is embedded and each of which can be decrypted by a different key, and a common segment region formed of single data. The variation data is formed of a 6144 byte aligned unit. The data processing unit calculates a reproduction path by applying a device key held in a memory, and selects an aligned unit corresponding to one variation data that corresponds to the calculated reproduction path from a plurality of aligned units configuring the plurality of variation data in the individual segment region included in the data read from the information recording medium, and then, executes the decryption and reproduction processing.
