Abstract: An endoscope system having: an endoscope having: an endoscope insertion section configured to be inserted into a subject, wherein the endoscope insertion section defines a channel having a distal opening; and a power transmission electrode arranged to the endoscope insertion section and electrically connected to a power source configured to output a high-frequency power; and a treatment tool having: an electrically powered treatment device; a treatment tool insertion section attached to the electrically powered treatment device, wherein the treatment tool insertion section is configured to be arranged in the channel of the endoscope; and a power reception electrode arranged to the treatment tool insertion section, wherein the power reception electrode is separated from the power transmission electrode to form a capacitor to transfer power from the power source through an electric field between the power transmission electrode and the power reception electrode to power the electrically powered treatment device.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed to a treatment tool comprises a first grasping jaw having a first grasping surface. A second grasping jaw having a second grasping surface and is configured to engage with the first grasping jaw so as to relatively pivot with respect to one another for holding a living tissue therebetween. A first electrode is disposed on the first grasping surface. A second electrode is disposed on either the first grasping surface or the second grasping surface and is configured to generate high-frequency energy in tandem with the first electrode to the living tissue held therebetween. A floating electrode is disposed in at least one of the first grasping surface and the second grasping surface. The floating electrode includes respective first and second ends each of which is disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode.

Abstract: An endoscope system having: an endoscope having: an endoscope insertion section wherein the endoscope defines a channel having a distal opening in the endoscope insertion section; and a first inductance element arranged to the channel, and configured to receive a high-frequency power to generate an AC magnetic field; and a treatment tool having: a treatment tool insertion section configured to be movably inserted in the channel; an electrically powered treatment device attached to the treatment tool insertion section; and a second inductance element arranged to the treatment tool insertion section, wherein the second inductance element is electrically connected to the electrically powered treatment device, and wherein the second inductance element is inductively coupled to the first inductance element such that the AC magnetic field induces an electromotive force to generate an induced current in the second inductance element to power the electrically powered treatment device.

Abstract: A treatment tool includes a first grasping jaw having a first grasping surface. A second grasping jaw has a second grasping surface and is configured to engage with the first grasping jaw so as to pivot with respect to one another for holding a living tissue. A first electrode is disposed on the first grasping surface. A second electrode is disposed on one of the first grasping surface and in tandem with the first electrode supplies heat to the living tissue. A heat generator is disposed on at least one of the first grasping jaw and the second grasping jaw for generating heat when electrically energized. When the first grasping surface and the second grasping surface confront each other, the first electrode and the second electrode are disposed in respective positions on both sides of a central position of the heat generator.

Abstract: An endoscope system having: an endoscope having: a first transmission electrode arranged to a channel defined by the endoscope; and a second transmission electrode arranged to the channel, wherein the first transmission electrode and the second transmission electrode are electrically connected to the power source; and a treatment tool having: a first reception electrode arranged to a treatment tool insertion section, and spaced apart from the first transmission electrode to form a first capacitor; a second reception electrode arranged to the treatment tool insertion section, and spaced apart from the second transmission electrode to form a second capacitor; and an electrically powered treatment device configured to be moved by the treatment tool insertion section, wherein the electrically powered treatment device is electrically connected to the first reception electrode and the second reception electrode to be powered to perform a treatment on a subject.
