摘要： A seal assembly for the protection of a static seal device for use in a vacuum pump. The seal assembly comprising at least two components which are sealingly connected together, an o-ring seal, which is engaged between the two components to prevent transfer of fluid to and from the pump between these two components and a fluid channel. The fluid channel being in the plane of the o-ring and located between the o-ring seal and a process gas flow path. The fluid channel provides a path for a barrier gas to be routed when the apparatus is in use. The channel being connectable to an external source of barrier fluid and having an outlet in fluid communication with the pump swept volume.

摘要： A seal assembly for the protection of a static seal device for use in a vacuum pump. The seal assembly comprising at least two components which are sealingly connected together, an o-ring seal, which is engaged between the two components to prevent transfer of fluid to and from the pump between these two components and a fluid channel. 摘要： A multi-stage vacuum pump may include first and second half-shell components defining a plurality of pumping chambers and for assembly together along respective longitudinal extending faces; first and second end stator components for assembly at respective longitudinal seals for sealing between the first and second half-shell stator components when assembled together at the longitudinally extending faces; and annular seals for sealing between the first and second end stator components and the first and second half-shell stator components when assembled; wherein the longitudinal seals have end portions which abut against the annular seals for sealing therebetween and the first and second half-shell stator components have formations for resisting movement of the end portions away from the annular seals when the end portions are compressed between the first and second half-shell stator components.

摘要： A portable toast warmer apparatus is described having a lower part detachably coupled to an upper part. The lower part of the portable toast warmer is connectable to an external electric power supply and is capable of transmitting electromagnetic energy to the upper part when the upper part is coupled to the lower part. The upper part of the portable toast warmer comprises a means for receiving the transmitted electromagnetic energy so that foodstuff slices may be warmed with the plurality of heaters mounted on the walls of the upper part when the upper part is coupled to the lower part. The upper part of the portable toast warmer also comprises a battery so that the toasted foodstuff slices may continue to be heated when the upper part is decoupled from the lower part so that the upper part containing the toasted foodstuff slices may be conveniently delivered to any desired location such as a dining room table.
