The present invention provides a silver halide emulsion containing silver halide particles, wherein a content of silver chloride in the silver halide particles is at least 89 mol %, and wherein the silver halide particles comprising at least one of (i) at least one phase selected from the group consisting of a laminar phase containing silver bromide, a laminar phase comprising silver iodide and a phase comprising silver bromide and having a maximum point where a silver bromide content ratio is at a maximum value, which maximum point is inside the silver particles, and (ii) a phase comprising silver iodide and a phase comprising silver bromide, which phase comprising silver bromide is disposed further inside of the silver halide particles than the phase comprising silver iodide. Further, the present invention provides a silver halide photosensitive material comprising the silver halide emulsion.

A method for forming images on a silver halide color photographic photosensitive material having a substrate and photographic structural layers thereon, including, at least three silver halide color photosensitive layers having different photosensitive regions, respectively, and at least one non-photosensitive hydrophilic colloid layer is disclosed. At least one of the photosensitive layers contains 90 mol % or more of silver chloride. Shortly after the silver halide color photographic photosensitive material has been scan-exposed with laser beams, the material is rapid-processed with a low replenishing amount.

The reflective support comprises a base paper and two or more water-proof resin layers laminated on one surface of the base paper at the side to be coated with the photosensitive emulsion. The water-proof resin layers have different contents of a white pigment. The base paper has pH of from 5 to 9. The silver halide emulsion layer contains silver halide emulsion having a silver chloride content of 95% by moles or higher and being sensitized with selenium, tellurium, or gold.
