A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material having, on a support, at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, characterized in that at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers contains a silver halide emulsion having a silver chloride content of 90 mole % or above, the silver halide emulsion contains at least one kind of selenium compound, and the silver halide emulsion layer containing the silver halide emulsion has a characteristic curve satisfying the following relation (1); 2.0≧γH/γL≧0.5 Relation (1) wherein γ represents a gradient of the characteristic curve, γH represents a gradient in the case of 1×10−6-second exposure and γL represents a gradient in the case of 100-second exposure.

The present invention provides a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the silver halide emulsion contained in the silver halide emulsion layer comprises silver halide grains having a silver chloride content of 90 mol % or more, and the silver halide emulsion further contains a metal complex having H2O as a ligand. It also provides a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the silver halide emulsion contained in the silver halide emulsion layer contains a metal complex having O2− as a ligand.

The invention provides a photothermographic material including, on a same surface of a substrate, photosensitive silver halide grains, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder, in which the photosensitive silver halide grains include iridium and a metal of groups 3 to 10 of the periodic table other than iridium, and 90% or more of the total iridium amount within the grain are contained in a core of 50% or less of the grain.

Disclosed is an image forming process having the steps of exposing by an exposure device a photothermographic dry imaging material with a support having thereon an image forming layer containing photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent for silver ions, a binder and a light-insensitive organic silver salt, and developing the photothermographic dry imaging material by a developing device, while the photothermographic dry imaging material is transported, wherein a surface having the image forming layer is brought into contact with sticky rollers during or before each of exposing and developing so as to make an amount of peel-off static electrification between the photothermographic dry imaging material and the sticky roller to be from −5 to +5 kV.

A method of forming an image comprising the steps of: (a) exposing a photothermographic material comprising a support having thereon an image forming layer comprising organic silver salt grains, silver halide grains, a reducing agent, a development accelerator and a binder, the image forming layer being formed by application of a coating composition comprising more than 30% water as a solvent of the coating composition, and (b) conducting thermal development of the exposed photothermographic material employing a thermal developing device at a distance of 0 to 50 cm between an exposing section and a developing section to obtain a maximum density of 3.8 to 5.0 of the photothermographic material after the thermal development.

The present invention provides a photothermographic material including a support having disposed on one surface thereof at least one image-forming layer containing a binder, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent for reducing silver ions, an organic polyhalogen compound and a photosensitive silver halide, wherein the photosensitive silver halide has a silver iodide content ranging from 10 mol % to 100 mol %. The silver halide further contains at least one metal selected from a first metal group and one metal selected from a second metal group, with a proviso that none of the at least one metal selected from the first metal group and the at least one metal selected from the second metal group are the same.

This invention provides a silver halide emulsion, a silver halide photographic material and an image forming method, which is excellent in high sensitivity, good gradation, coating composition store stability and latent image store stability regardless exposing method, particularly excellent latent image store stability at high intensity and shot period exposure of digital exposure, and by which a high quality print is obtained.
