Abstract: The invention provides a display device and a Mura compensation method thereof. The display device includes a display panel and a Mura compensation circuit. The Mura compensation circuit defines a compensation area in the display panel based on a curve equation corresponding to a current frame rate of the display panel. The Mura compensation circuit calculates a compensation weight in the compensation area based on the current frame rate and the curve equation. The Mura compensation circuit uses the compensation weight to compensate a pixel data in the compensation area so as to generate a compensated pixel data frame. The Mura compensation circuit provides the compensated pixel data frame to the display panel for displaying images.

Abstract: A driving method, for driving an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display panel, includes following steps. Input gray levels are received corresponding to red, green and blue subpixels on the OLED display panel. The input gray levels are mapped into current indices. A representative current index is calculated according to the current indices. The representative current index is compared with a current index threshold. In response to the representative current index being lower than the current index threshold, a voltage compensation value is generated according to the representative current index for shifting an initial voltage level utilized in an initial phase of the OLED display panel, and gray level compensation values are generated according to the current indices for adjusting the input gray levels into adjusted gray levels corresponding to the red, green and blue subpixels.

Abstract: A display device that includes an encoder circuit, a decoder circuit and an overdrive circuit is introduced. The encoder circuit includes a prediction circuit, a quantization circuit, and a bitstream coding circuit. The prediction circuit performs a prediction operation on a first image frame to generate a second image frame. The quantization circuit performs a quantization operation on the second image frame based on a quantization parameter to generated a quantized image frame. The bitstream coding circuit encodes the quantized image frame to generate an encoded bit stream. The quantization parameter is determined according to a grey level of a pixel in the second image frame. The decoder circuit decodes the encoded bit stream to generate a reconstructed image frame. The overdrive circuit generates an overdrive image frame to be displayed on a display panel based on a third image frame and the reconstructed image frame.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a processor and a pixel degradation compensation method thereof. The processor includes a processing circuit and a pixel degradation compensation circuit. The pixel degradation compensation circuit generates a current degradation value based on current sub-pixel data. The current degradation value represents the degradation effect of the current sub-pixel data on a corresponding sub-pixel in a display module. The pixel degradation compensation circuit may adjust the current degradation value to generate an adjusted degradation value corresponding to the current sub-pixel data. The adjusted degradation value is accumulated to a total degradation value corresponding to the current sub-pixel data. The pixel degradation compensation circuit compensates the current sub-pixel data based on the total degradation value corresponding to the current sub-pixel data so as to generate compensated current sub-pixel data to the display module.

Abstract: The present invention provides an image processing circuit for compensating image data for a display panel used for displaying first and second image patterns respectively having first and second current loadings. The image processing circuit is used for: receiving a first original image data of the first image pattern and a second original image data of the second image pattern having the same brightness value for a pixel at the same location; converting the first original image data into a first final image data to compensate for an IR drop according to the first current loading; and converting the second original image data into a second final image data to compensate for the IR drop according to the second current loading. Abstract: The present invention discloses a driving method for a source driver, for driving a source line of a display panel. The driving method includes the steps of: driving the source line with a first voltage or a second voltage smaller than the first voltage in a first driving cycle; driving the source line with the first voltage in a second driving cycle next to the first driving cycle when the source line is driven with the first voltage in the first driving cycle; and driving the source line with an overdrive voltage in the second driving cycle when the source line is driven with the second voltage in the first driving cycle. The first voltage is a normal high voltage of the display panel, and the overdrive voltage is greater than the normal high voltage.
