    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for determining UE measurement performance in communication systems, such as NR, are provided. One method may include grouping configured carriers according to synchronization signal block measurement timing configuration (SMTC) to form carrier groups, distributing measurement gaps on the configured carriers according to an intra-frequency and inter-frequency gap sharing rule, and distributing the measurement gaps available for inter-frequency measurements among inter-frequency carrier groups according to the carrier groups with non-overlapping synchronization signal block measurement timing configuration (SMTC) or the carrier groups with overlapping synchronization signal block measurement timing configuration (SMTC) to create a distribution of the measurement gaps.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided, by which a measurement gap sharing scheme is generated by sharing measurement gaps between radio link monitoring measurement, intra-frequency measurement and inter-frequency measurement based on configurations of radio link monitoring reference signals for radio link monitoring and synchronization signal blocks and/or other reference signals used for intra-frequency measurements; measurements including the radio link monitoring measurement, the intra-frequency measurement and inter-frequency measurement are performed according to the measurement gap sharing scheme, and the measurement gap sharing scheme between radio link monitoring measurement, intra-frequency measurement and inter-frequency measurement is changed based on the radio link quality of a serving cell.

    Abstract: A technique includes maintaining a signal-to-noise ratio of the transmitted reference signals to be less than a lower signal-to-noise ratio threshold for a first period of time that is a sufficient length of time to allow a correctly operating user device to detect an out-of-sync status and subsequently declare a radio link failure with respect to the connection, increasing, after the maintaining, the signal-to-noise ratio of the reference signals transmitted to the user device from the second signal-to-noise ratio to a third signal-to-noise ratio, wherein the third signal-to-noise ratio is greater than an upper signal-to-noise ratio threshold, after the increasing, sending, by the network device to the user device, an uplink resource grant, and confirming that the network device does not receive an uplink transmission from the user device in response to the uplink resource grant within a second period of time.

    Abstract: A method, device and computer readable medium for performing measurements in telecommunication systems are disclosed. The method comprises: includes receiving, from a first network device, a first configuration of a first measurement object for a carrier frequency; receiving, from a second network device, a second configuration of a second measurement object for the carrier frequency; determining an absolute time difference between a first measurement timing in the first configuration and a second measurement timing in the second configuration; and in response to determining that the absolute time difference is below a predetermined threshold, performing a single measurement for the carrier frequency based on the first measurement timing in the first configuration or the second measurement timing in the second configuration.

    Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from appropriate sharing of resources amongst multiple nodes. For example, certain wireless communication systems may benefit from using a single measurement gap for master node and secondary node measurements in a multi-radio-access-technology dual connectivity scenario, or similar scenarios. A method can include determining, by a first network node, that a gap pattern is existing in a second network node. The method can also include enquiring, by the first network node to the second network node, whether the gap pattern can be used for a new measurement. The method can further include configuring, by the first network node, a user equipment to perform the new measurement in the gap pattern, based on a response from the second network node to the enquiring.
