摘要: Disclosed is use of an all-solid-state battery as a backup power source in at least one device selected from the group consisting of a computer, a laptop computer, a portable computer, a pocket computer, a workstation, a supercomputer, computer-peripheral hardware, and a server. This all-solid-state battery comprises a positive electrode layer comprising a positive-electrode active material that is an oriented polycrystalline body composed of lithium transition metal oxide grains oriented in a given direction; a solid electrolyte layer composed of a lithium-ion conductive material; and a negative electrode layer comprising a negative-electrode active material.

摘要: An all-solid-state cell contains a combination of an electrode active material and a solid electrolyte, and has a plate-shaped fired solid electrolyte body of a ceramic containing a solid electrolyte, a first electrode layer (e.g. a positive electrode) integrally formed on one surface of the fired solid electrolyte body by mixing and firing an electrode active material and a solid electrolyte, and a second electrode layer (e.g. a negative electrode) integrally formed on the other surface of the fired solid electrolyte body by mixing and firing an electrode active material and a solid electrolyte. The solid electrolyte materials added to the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer comprise an amorphous polyanion compound.

摘要: A solid oxide fuel cell includes a first cell, a second cell and an interconnector. The first cell and the second cell respectively include an anode containing NiO and CaZrO3, a cathode, and a solid electrolyte layer disposed between the anode and the cathode. The interconnector is connected to the anode of the first cell and the current collector of the second cell. The interconnector contains LaCaCrO3. The molar ratio of Ca to Zr in the anode is greater than 1.0.

摘要: Provided is an all-solid-state lithium battery including an oriented positive electrode plate composed of an oriented polycrystalline body made of lithium transition metal oxide grains, a solid electrolyte layer, a negative electrode layer, and an end insulator insulating and coating ends of the oriented positive electrode plate. The surface of the end insulator and the surface of the oriented positive electrode plate adjacent the solid electrolyte layer form one continuous surface no step exists. Alternatively, the height of the surface of the end insulator adjacent the solid electrolyte layer is lower than that of the surface of the oriented positive electrode plate adjacent the solid electrolyte layer to form a discontinuous surface with proviso that a step between the end insulator and the surface of the oriented positive electrode plate adjacent the solid electrolyte layer is smaller than the thickness of the solid electrolyte layer.

摘要: Provided is an all-solid lithium battery including: a low-angle oriented positive electrode plate that is a lithium complex oxide sintered plate having a porosity of 10 to 50%; a negative electrode plate containing Ti and capable of intercalating and deintercalating lithium ions at 0.4 V or higher (vs. Li/Li+); and a solid electrolyte having a melting point lower than the melting point or pyrolytic temperature of the oriented positive electrode plate or the negative electrode plate, wherein at least 30% of pores in the oriented positive electrode plate is filled with the solid electrolyte in an observation of a cross-section perpendicular to a main face of the oriented positive electrode plate.

摘要: Provided is a battery-equipped device including a substrate, a device disposed on the substrate, an all-solid-state battery disposed such that the planar shape conforms to the periphery of the device on the substrate and at least partially having a complementary outer edge shape that conforms to the entire or a part of the outer edge shape of the device, and interconnections connecting the device and the all-solid-state battery. The all-solid-state battery includes a positive electrode layer containing an oriented polycrystalline positive-electrode active material composed of lithium transition metal oxide particles oriented in a certain direction, a solid electrolyte layer composed of a lithium-ion conductive material, and a negative electrode layer containing a negative-electrode active material. The present invention can provide a battery-equipped device that can significantly increase the degree of freedom of design and can output necessary electric power in a minimum space.
