摘要: A system and method of providing a unique association of medical data and identity data is taught wherein the medical data and identity data are both extracted from the same biometric information source. Accordingly according to an embodiment of the invention a retinal image provides for both medical data, for example relating to the individuals eye, blood sugar, blood oxygenation etc, and identity data as the retinal image is unique to the individual. As such the invention provides for a secure, reliable, automated association of an individual's identity and their medical data. The unique characteristics of biometric data relating to a single individual relating to the invention allow not only pertinent personal information to be retrieved but also prior medical records as they are now uniquely associated by electronic biometric data, thereby increasing the security associated with their storage and retrieval as they are now locked according to the biometric data and not the simple personal data many people publish online or provide to retailers, financial institutions etc. Such electronic associations allowing medical histories to also become independent of patient, medical institution, etc and confusion, error or oversight.

摘要: A method and system for providing multiple ophthalmic and retinal blood measurements is outlined. By extracting multiple digitized wavelength images and quantitative data within a relatively short time period the method allows for compensation of a patient's eye or head movement, generation of ophthalmic clinical records, and determination of data relating to blood measurements, such as oxygen saturation and hemoglobin, in addition to ocular and other disease determinations. The method provides for multiple analysis and measurements within a single sitting of the patient, with a single simple instrument and without adaptations to the instrument during a patient's eye examination. Beneficially the approach allows for low cost, compact, and even portable implementations offering such analysis and determination outside the current ophthalmic centers providing eased access and earlier diagnosis opportunities.

摘要: A system and method for selective capture of and presentation of native image portions are provided. In a first embodiment a first image or video is captured at a first resolution, which resolution is greater than high definition and higher than a predetermined broadcast display resolution. A desired portion of the native, first image or video is then displayed at a second, lower resolution, which resolution is less than and closer to the predetermined broadcast display resolution. Accordingly, a selected portion of the captured image may be displayed at or near the predetermined broadcast display resolution. In other exemplary embodiments, video is captured at a first frame rate that is higher than a predetermined broadcast frame rate, and an extraction window extracts frames from a portion of the native, first video to provide improved broadcast quality of the portion(s) selected by the extraction window.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are described for assigning data units to a plurality of groups. A key is generated for each of the data units such that the keys corresponding to associated ones of the data units are identical. An initial hash value is generated for each of the keys. A number of techniques are described for then deterministically scrambling the initial hash values such that small bit changes in the keys will typically produce stochastically large changes in the final hash values. The data units are mapped to specific ones of the groups with reference to the scrambled hash values.

摘要: An approach to monitoring, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment or conditioning of animals such as horses does not require use of restrictive equipment such as treadmills or force plates and that can provide either or both of more or less immediate or continuous processing of data to perform the monitoring or diagnosis. One or more wireless sensors are attached to the animal, for example, to measure motion-related parameter associated with one or more parts of the animal. Sensor data is received from the sensors and processed to identify a characteristic of the motion of the animal, such as a quality of gait. The sensor data can also be used to avoid injury to the animal and/or the rider, and to verify the identity of an animal.

摘要: A fluid dispensing device for dispensing a fluid form medicament formulation having a viscosity of from 10 to 2000 mPa·s. is disclosed and comprises a housing and a fluid discharge device. The fluid discharge device is arranged to be actuated by one or more levers so as to apply a force to the fluid discharge device which is used to move a container forming part of the fluid discharge device along a longitudinal axis of the fluid discharge device to cause actuation of a pump forming part of the fluid discharge device. A pre-load means is used to prevent actuation of the pump until a pre-determined force is applied to each lever of sufficient magnitude to guarantee the production of a well developed efficient spray from the fluid dispensing device.

摘要: There is provided a medicament dispenser for use in the delivery of a combination medicament product. The dispenser comprises first and second medicament containers for containing first and second medicament active component; and first and second release means for releasing respective dose portions of the first and second medicament active component from the first and second medicament containers. The first medicament active component is kept separate from the second medicament active component until the point of release thereof for delivery in combination. The first medicament active component is selected from the group consisting of salmeterol, formoterol and any salts or solvates thereof. The second medicament active component is selected from the group consisting of beclomethasone ester, fluticasone ester and any salts or solvates thereof.
