摘要: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for initiating data synchronization between devices. The method includes sending a host identifier and pairing record to a second device having a file system encrypted on a per file and on a per class basis for a set of classes, receiving from the second device a sync ticket containing encryption keys for the set of classes, and storing the sync ticket. Also disclosed is a method for synchronizing encrypted data between devices. This method includes receiving, at a first device having a file system encrypted on a per file and on a per class basis, a sync ticket containing encryption keys from a second device, retrieving an escrow key bag containing protection class keys, decrypting protection class keys based on the sync ticket, and synchronizing data with the second device based on the decrypted protection class keys.

摘要: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for erasing user data stored in a file system. The method includes destroying all key bags containing encryption keys on a device having a file system encrypted on a per file and per class basis, erasing and rebuilding at least part of the file system associated with user data, and creating a new default key bag containing encryption keys. Also disclosed herein is a method of erasing user data stored in a remote file system encrypted on a per file and per class basis. The method includes transmitting obliteration instructions to a remote device, which cause the remote device to destroy all key bags containing encryption keys on the remote device, erase and rebuild at least part of the file system associated with user data, and create on the remote device a new default key bag containing encryption keys.

摘要: A method and system for providing multiple ophthalmic and retinal blood measurements is outlined. By extracting multiple digitized wavelength images and quantitative data within a relatively short time period the method allows for compensation of a patient's eye or head movement, generation of ophthalmic clinical records, and determination of data relating to blood measurements, such as oxygen saturation and hemoglobin, in addition to ocular and other disease determinations. The method provides for multiple analysis and measurements within a single sitting of the patient, with a single simple instrument and without adaptations to the instrument during a patient's eye examination. Beneficially the approach allows for low cost, compact, and even portable implementations offering such analysis and determination outside the current ophthalmic centers providing eased access and earlier diagnosis opportunities.

摘要: A method comprises using a cellular telephone associated with a first party to transmit, during a first period of time, voice data from the first party to a second party via a cellular wireless telephone network. During the first period of time, a first video camera other than an integrated video camera of the cellular telephone is used to capture video data relating to the first party. The captured video data is transmitted to the second party via a communication network other than the cellular wireless telephone network. Audio content that is based on the voice data and video content that is based on the video data is provided to the second party, the audio content being synchronized with the video content.

摘要: A method is provided in which a user, in dependence upon purchasing a physical copy of a first book, receives a code comprising an identifier of the first book. The code is provided to an electronic device associated with the user, via an input portion thereof A communication session is established between the electronic device and a digital bookstore via a communication network. The user transmits the code from the electronic device to the digital bookstore via the communication network during the communication session, and in response to providing the code, the user receives from the digital bookstore via the communication network a digital book copy of the first book. The digital book copy of the first book is then stored on a storage portion of the electronic device.

摘要: The invention relates to a user interface, and method of providing such user interfaces, that allow the user to dynamically navigate through documents in a manner allowing the user to adjust dynamically to the situation unfolding as they work through the document, and to modify either the flow of the document or the content of the document during the course of their navigation and use of the document without having to exit the application that is running the documents presentation to the user. The invention achieves this by providing a three dimensional virtual environment and relating locations within the three dimensional virtual environment to elements of the document and indicating within the three dimensional virtual environment predetermined transitions from one of the elements to other elements of the plurality of elements. Further the invention allows the user to navigate the three dimensional virtual environment as part of generating, providing and using the document. Such three dimensional virtual environments may themselves be embedded as parts of a document allowing dynamic navigation of an environment and adjusting the presentation of materials accordingly.

摘要: A method of searching for content that is stored on a computer system includes receiving a plurality of initial search results based on an initial search query. At least some initial search results of the plurality of initial search results are rated according to a predetermined criterion. First data relating to the rating of the at least some initial search results is provided, and a final search result is returned, based on a correlation between the first data and communal data that is stored on the computer system. Content associated with the final search result is access, the content also being stored on the computer system.

摘要: Analyzing data relating to an organization is performed by defining interconnections between data nodes belonging to a first organizational chart of the organization and data nodes belonging to a second organizational chart of the organization. Typically, the defined interconnections are for correlating the first organizational chart and the second organizational chart in three-dimensions so as to provide a three-dimensional data visualization structure of the organization. Data relating to the organization is mapped onto the three-dimensional data visualization structure using a predetermined process. The mapped data is then correlated against known template data having a relation to categories of organizational structure. Finally, data indicative of the category of the organizational structure is provided.

摘要: Assessing consumer preference tendencies is performed by storing a N-dimensional data representation of users' consumer-history data with N>2. The users' consumer-history data relates to items that are associated, at least temporarily, with users. E item is categorizable as a consumer good, a service, or an opinion. First data is received relating to two other items that are selected for purchase by a first user during a current purchase session. Each one of the two other items is also categorizable as a consumer good, a service, or an opinion. A predetermined process is then used to map the first data onto the N-dimensional data representation. This mapped first data is analyzed to correlate the first data with portions of the N-dimensional data representation for identifying items that most highly correlate with the first data. Based on the identified correlation, second data is retrieved from memory relating to an identified item for being suggested to the first user as an additional item to be purchased during the current purchase session. This suggested item is then indicated to the user.
