摘要: A medium solution which will increase the growth, survival and ultimately the live birth rate of oocytes and embryos which have been or will be subjected to cryopreservation. The solution contains varied amounts of glucose, pyruvates, amino acids, vitamins K5 and C, antioxidants, fatty acids to supply the specimens with the chemical ingredients and uptake requirements required to recover and prosper during and after the cryopreservation process. The solution supplies nutrients to the specimens that will replenish depletion and damage to the specimens and their mitochondria, spindles and structural features, such as cell walls. One formulation addresses the additional requirements of frozen specimens as opposed to the current media solutions and methods which treat the un-frozen specimens the same as the frozen specimens when recovering them from cryopreservation.

摘要: An anabolic chamber constructed of a plastic with additives to create desirable characteristics such as resistance to corrosion and bacteria growth. The anabolic chamber has a double-wall structure with internal support ribs for creating a water jacket for facilitating maintaining temperature control within the chamber. Features such as handles, mounting blocks and surface detail are created integral to the anabolic chamber.

摘要: A heat transfer bladder system is incorporated into the interior of a laboratory work bench assembly and serves to control the temperature of a work surface of the work bench. The bladder contains a flowable media such as a fluid or gel which is heated or cooled so as to be able to control the temperature of the work bench work surface. The bladder system can include an external temperature control or an internal temperature control to control the temperature of the bladder fluid or gel. The bladder assembly may include through passages for adjunct instruments that can be used in conjunction with the work bench. The bladder can be formed from an elastomeric flexible material, or from a metal such as copper or stainless steel. The temperature control media can be circulated into and out of the bladder, or it can be contained in the bladder.

摘要: A controlled environment observation device comprising: a body; a heated shelf located in the body; a plurality of shelf openings in the heated shelf; a plurality of embryonic chambers removably installed in the plurality of shelf openings, each of the plurality of embryonic chambers comprising: an optically transparent heated shelf; a specimen dish removably attached to the top of the optically transparent heated shelf, the specimen dish having a generally optically transparent bottom; an x,y,z camera system located in each of the embryonic chambers and below the specimen dish and the optically transparent heated shelf; a computer located in the controlled environment observation device; and a controller in signal communication with the xyz camera system and the computer. A controlled environment observation device comprising: a body; at least one multi-area embryonic chamber located in the body, the multi-area embryonic chamber comprising: at least one outer wall forming a perimeter; a platform generally located within the perimeter; an opening in the platform; an optically transparent heated shelf located in the opening; a first plurality of inner walls forming a second plurality of volumes with the at least one outer wall; a second plurality of specimen dishes configured to be removeably attached to the optically transparent heated shelf in each of the second plurality of volumes, each of the specimen dishes having a generally optically transparent bottom; an x,y,z camera system located beneath the optically transparent heated shelf, and configured to move a camera to any of the specimen dishes.
