Abstract:
This invention relates to a suspension for vehicles, wherein the wheels are associated with the bodywork by means of a flexible assembly essentially constituted by two longitudinal blades and by two transverse blades connected to the bodywork by means of elastically deformable connecting elements, wherein:--the ends of the longitudinal blades and transverse blades are located in two planes spaced apart from each other, these two planes being parallel or not;--at the front of the chassis, the ends of the longitudinal blades are mounted so as to allow a momentary longitudinal displacement under the effect of a shock and to avoid any transverse or angular displacement;--at the rear of the chassis, the ends of the longitudinal blades are blocked in torsion in the hub-holder elements.
Abstract:
Device for cutting, picking up, and for temporarily storing grass or similar products with a view to transporting the stored product to a site for further processing. The device is integrally mounted to a vehicle so that it may be moved over an area of grass to be cut. The device includes a cutting head to cut and to take-up the lawn clippings. The cutting head is connected to first and second transfer pipes utilized to direct the cut grass to the interior of a storage enclosure. A turbine is horizontally mounted under the storage enclosure between the first and second transfer pipes and is dissociated from the cutting head. The turbine provides suction inside the first pipe so that cut grass may be moved from the cutting head toward the turbine. A turbine wheel with blades moves the cut grass tangentially into the second pipe which is integrated with the storage enclosure so as to direct the flow of cut grass into the enclosure. The turbine is driven by a transmission belt that is connected to a driving pulley that operates the cutting head. The storage enclosure is composed of first and second molded members. The first molded member is pivotally movable relative to the second molded member which is rigidly fixed and supported at the rear of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A closing device for ski boots and the like, composed of a strapping (7) comprising a flexible cord (8) in the form of a closed loop, one of the ends (10) of which is secured to one of the edges (5) of the part (4) of the boot allowing it to be opened and the other end (14) of which can be subjected to the action of a lever (9) capable of pivoting about a pivot pin (11) provided on the other edge (6) of the part of the boot allowing it to be opened, in order to exert a pull to ensure closing. The pivoting lever (9) is mounted permanently on the boot and possesses, over its length, a continuous slot (15), in which the end (11) of the loop (8) on which the pull is exerted slides freely, in such a way that the two ends of the flexible cord (8) in the form of a closed loop are kept permanently on either side of the two edges of the element of the boot allowing it to be opened and closed.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a self-propelled lawnmower wherein the wheels are mounted on a fixed frames surrounded, at least on its two lateral faces, by fixed protective skirts which extend practically to ground level. A cutting assembly is mounted on a secondary chassis which can be displaced with respect to the fixed chassis supporting the wheels. A linkage between the two chassis is provided by tilting levers that pivot on the fixed chassis and allow the secondary chassis to be vertically displaced thereon. Movement is transmitted to the drive wheels by a drive gear that engages a ring gear arranged inside each drive wheel, the drive gears being displaceable along the pitch circles of the ring gears when the secondary chassis is displaced.
Abstract:
A plastic ski boot, comprising a molded shell formed of one solid stock with the sole, an upper insole rigidly situated at the bottom of the shell and above the sole, flexible tightening means taking support on the different faces of the shell, intended to firmly tighten the shell to the foot of a skier, wherein at the level of the heel, at the interior of the space formed between the upper insole and the sole, a rigid member connected to the end of the tightening means which, when it is subjected to a pressure exercised on the rear of the boot by the boltlocking of the rear abutment of the connection of the binding to the boot, exerts on said tightening means a force assuring holding of the foot in the interior of the boot.
Abstract:
A ski-boot having a U-shaped reinforcement with a horizontal base extending through the sole of the boot in which the upper arms of the reinforcement are secured at the top and to the rear of the boot, and bear against a major portion of the boot. The invention is concerned with injection moulded ski-boots of plastics, and preferably thermoplastics material.
Abstract:
The method of the invention for manufacturing a correctable lens for glasses from an injectable thermo-plastic polymer material, or other moldable polymer, consists in: molding a glass blank (2) provided with the contour of the corrective lens; assembling the lens blank with a peripheral piece (3) having the same internal radius of curvature as that of the glass blank (2), so as to compose a lens blank (1); grinding and polishing the internal face of the lens blank (1) to obtain the desired ocular correction; separating the glass blank (2) from the lens blank to obtain the corrective lens ready for assembly with the frame.
Abstract:
A ski boot in plastic material includes a shell adapted to receive the foot, a front spoiler articulated on the shell for pivoting frontwards thereof and adapted to grip the bottom part of the leg, a buckle system for tightening the front spoiler on the bottom part of the leg, and a damper joined to the shell and to the front spoiler. A flexible arciform plate is further provided which adopts the general shape of the instep, an upper end of the plate being joined to the front spoiler, and a lower end of the plate being joined to the shell, the upper end of said arciform bending plate cooperating with a compressible elastic return element during leaning forward movements.
