Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for providing an improved electromagnetic radiation sensing micromechanical device to be utilized in high pixel-density pixel sensor arrays. The device includes an improved design for improved and adjustable performance through simple geometric or fabrication means. Furthermore, the design of the device lends itself to simple micromechanical manufacturing procedures. Additionally, the manufacturing procedures include a method to enable high uniformity and high yield sensor arrays. Arrays of the device can be utilized as IR imaging detectors for use in applications such as human presence detection, nonvisual environment monitoring, security and safety, surveillance, energy monitoring, fire detection and people counting.

Abstract: A camera assembly, including: an enclosure having at least two mounting surfaces that are orthogonal to each other for alignment with at least two orthogonal surfaces against which the camera assembly is to be mounted; at least one imaging apparatus disposed within the enclosure and having a predetermined orientation with respect to the enclosure; and a communication device disposed within the enclosure; and a server disposed at a location remote from where the camera is mounted. The camera assembly and the server communicate over a computer communication network to identify at least one mounting measurement of the camera assembly to establish a mapping from an image coordinate system for images generated by the imaging apparatus and a real world coordinate system aligned with an orientation defined by the at least two orthogonal surfaces.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing electromagnetic radiation sensing using sequential beam splitting. The apparatuses can include a micro-mirror chip having a plurality of light reflecting surfaces, an image sensor having an imaging surface, and a beamsplitter unit located between the micro-mirror chip and the image sensor. The beamsplitter unit includes a plurality of beamsplitters aligned along a horizontal axis that is parallel to the micro-mirror chip and the imaging surface. The beamsplitters implement the sequential beam splitting. Because of the structure of the beamsplitter unit, the height of the arrangement of the micro-mirror chip, the beamsplitter unit, and the image sensor is reduced such that the arrangement can fit within a mobile device. Within a mobile device, the apparatuses can be utilized for human detection, fire detection, gas detection, temperature measurements, environmental monitoring, energy saving, behavior analysis, surveillance, information gathering and for human-machine interfaces.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses to detect persons having fever. For example, A fever scanner can have a thermal camera to capture a thermal image of a person, a distance sensor to measure a distance between the person and the fever scanner, and a processor to determine a first temperature from the thermal image and calculate a second temperature of the person based on the first temperature and the distance. When the second temperature is above a threshold, the fever scanner can generate an alert.

Abstract: The disclosed technologies include systems and methods for implementing a combination of an optical camera and an infrared camera in a single device having a single output. The combination of the optical camera and infrared camera in a single device having a single output can provide low cost production and a hybrid output having optical and infrared elements. A blending or combining of the optical and infrared elements can be executed by a processor embedded in the single device. The output of the single device can have a relatively low size image overlay. In some embodiments, the single device can output a full video stream having optical and infrared elements. Also, the blending or combining of the optical and infrared elements can be executed by the processor and the processor can output and transmit a hybrid image that includes an overlay of the optical and infrared elements.

Abstract: A thermal imaging system including at least one thermal imaging device, a server, and at least one mobile device. The thermal imaging device captures thermal images of an environment. The server applies computer vision techniques to the thermal images, detects events of a predetermined type, and generates notifications of the events of predetermined types detected from the thermal images. The mobile device runs a mobile application that is configured to receive the notifications, present user interfaces, receive user annotations of the notifications in the user interfaces, and transmit the annotations to the server. According to the annotations, the server adjusts parameters used in the application of the computer vision techniques and in the generation of the notifications.
