    Abstract: A three-phase alternating-current winding is configured by connecting first conductor terminals and second conductor terminals that are disposed in a circular arc-shaped region using connecting units, electric power supplying terminals of the three-phase alternating-current winding are constituted by the first conductor terminals and the second conductor terminals that are disposed in the circular arc-shaped region, a number of parallel phase windings in the three-phase alternating-current winding is n, where n is a natural number that is greater than or equal to one, an angular range of the circular arc-shaped region is less than or equal to (180×n) electrical degrees, and the second conductor terminals that constitute the electric power supplying terminals are positioned between adjacent first conductor terminals when viewed from a radially outer side.

    Abstract: Obtain a rotary electric machine by which a share of coil slots for a stator winding in slots, which are formed in a stator core, can be increased, and heat generation at a central portion of a stator can be decreased. The stator winding is composed of coil slots, which are inserted to the slots, and coil ends extended toward the outside in the axis direction of the stator core; and the coil conductors of the coil slots are configured in such a way that cross-sectional areas at central portions in the axis direction are wider cross-sectional areas at both end portions, and the cross-sectional areas of the coil conductors are reduced along the coil slots from the central portions to the both end portions.
