    Abstract: An annular conductor retaining device has a retention guide portion formed by blades arranged in a cylindrical shape with gaps therebetween. An annular conductor is inserted into two of the gaps across a plurality of the blades. The next annular conductor is inserted into the gaps to partially overlap the previously arranged annular conductor. This step is repeated so that the annular conductors are arranged in a spiral shape in the retention guide portion. The retention guide portion and the inner circumferential part of the core are fitted to each other, and the gaps and the slots of the core are made to coincide with each other. A pusher is inserted into the inner circumferential part of the retention guide portion so that the annular conductors are caught on the pusher, to move them in the axial direction into the slots of the core, and thus become the coils.

    Abstract: In a rotary electric machine, an armature core includes a plurality of magnetic pole teeth and slots are formed between the magnetic pole teeth. An armature coil group includes a plurality of armature coils each including a pair of coil sides arranged in the slots, which are different from one another, and coil ends connecting the pair of coil sides. The armature coil group includes, as the armature coils, a plurality of base coils, of which one coil side is arranged in an upper opening of the slot and the other coil side is arranged in a lower opening of the slot, upper layer coils, of which both one coil side and the other coil side are arranged in an upper opening of the slot, and lower layer coils, of which both one coil side and the other coil side are arranged in the lower opening of the slot.

    Abstract: An insertion groove is disposed on a tubular portion overlapping portion that is overlapped with an inner circumferential surface of a tubular portion of the stator core. Inter-coil insulating bodies that are disposed between a plurality of stator coils include a groove inserted portion. The groove inserted portion includes: a first inserted portion that can be inserted inside the insertion groove when the insulating film is in a bent and folded state; and a second inserted portion that is contiguous to the first inserted portion, a shape of a visible outline of a cross section of the second inserted portion being different than that of the first inserted portion. The second inserted portion generates a stronger elastic force of recovery than the first inserted portion when the groove inserted portion is inserted into the insertion groove.

    Abstract: Winding bodies are configured such that radially inner terminals of a conductor wire extend outward at a first axial end of an armature core from a radially innermost position inside slots, and radially outer terminals of the conductor wire extend outward at the first axial end of the armature core from a radially outermost position inside the slots, and respective phase windings of an armature winding are configured by directly joining together the radially inner terminals and by directly joining together the radially outer terminals of the winding bodies that constitute identical phases.

    Abstract: An armature for an electric machine according to the present invention includes: an armature core in which a plurality of slots are arranged in a circumferential direction; and an armature winding that is mounted to the armature core, and includes a plurality of two-lane winding bodies that are each produced by stacking and winding two jointless continuous conductor wires that are coated with insulation such that the two conductor wires are stacked in a radial direction of the armature core, the two-lane winding bodies being arranged at a pitch of one slot in a circumferential direction so as to be mounted into a third slot, a first slot, and a second slot that line up consecutively in the circumferential direction at an angular spacing of six slots.
