Abstract: Techniques for automatic network configuration based on biometric authentication are described herein. In some embodiments, the techniques may involve obtaining first biometric data from a first device that is substantially attachable to or substantially worn on a body of a user. The techniques may further involve obtaining second biometric data from a second device that is substantially attachable to or substantially worn on the body of the user. The techniques may further involve comparing the first biometric data and the second biometric data. The techniques may further involve determining that the first biometric data and the second biometric data correspond to the same user based on the comparison. The techniques may further involve establishing a communication link with the second device based on the determination that the second device is attached to the body of the user.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques related to automatically adjusting at least one parameter of an insulin delivery controller of an insulin delivery device to regulate delivery of insulin to a user. In some embodiments, the techniques may involve obtaining therapy-related data associated with operation of the insulin delivery device for a number of days in the past. The therapy-related data including sensor glucose data for the user and meal data for the user. The techniques may also involve determining at least one adjusted parameter for the insulin delivery controller based on the therapy-related data. Additionally, the techniques may involve causing the insulin delivery controller to adjust at least one setting in accordance with the determined at least one adjusted parameter.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and techniques for therapy delivery and healthcare management is described. In one example, a system comprises a delivery device configured to execute therapy information comprising a treatment schedule specifying one or more treatments over a time period, wherein for each of the one or more treatments, the therapy information comprises a treatment type and a treatment amount; and processing circuitry configured to: determine a modification to the therapy information based on a recommendation of a digital twin, wherein the digital twin determines an estimated glucose level expected to be within a healthy range if the delivery device executes the modification to therapy information; and in response to physician review of the modification to the therapy information, output, to a healthcare provider system for the patient, data indicating completion of a healthcare service corresponding to the physician review.

Abstract: Techniques related to automatically generating a super bolus may include determining an amount of an augmented meal bolus to be delivered to a patient for regulating the patient's glycemic response to a meal. The amount of the augmented meal bolus may exceed a sufficient amount for counteracting a glucose level increase caused by the meal. In some embodiments, the techniques may further include determining a duration of a postprandial reduction period during which basal dosage deliveries to the patient are to be reduced. In some other embodiments, the techniques may further include delivering the augmented meal bolus to the patient prior to determining whether or not to cause reduction of basal dosage deliveries. More specifically, a glucose level of the patient may be obtained after delivery of the augmented meal bolus, and the obtained glucose level may be used to determine whether to reduce basal dosage deliveries.

Abstract: Medical devices and related systems and operating methods are provided. A method of operating an infusion device capable of delivering fluid influencing a physiological condition to a patient involves obtaining an event indication, such as a meal indication, determining an initial bolus amount based on the event indication, and determining predicted values for the physiological condition of the patient during a time window into the future based at least in part on the initial bolus amount. When the predicted values violate a threshold during the time window, the control system identifies an adjusted bolus amount that results in the predicted values for the physiological condition satisfying the threshold during the time window from within a search space defined by the initial bolus amount and operates an actuation arrangement of the infusion device to deliver the adjusted bolus amount of the fluid to the patient.

Abstract: Infusion systems, infusion devices, and related operating methods are provided. An exemplary method of operating an infusion device capable of delivering fluid to a patient involves predicting, by a control system associated with the infusion device, a future occurrence of an event based at least in part on historical data associated with the patient, and prior to the future occurrence of the event, automatically adjusting a control parameter for operating the infusion device based at least in part on the event and automatically operating an actuation arrangement of the infusion device to deliver the fluid to the patient based at least in part on a current measurement of the physiological condition and the adjusted control parameter.

Abstract: Techniques for automatically configuring a medical device with user-specific configuration data are provided. In some embodiments, the techniques may involve determining, by a first medical device, that the first medical device is being removed from service on a patient based at least in part on detecting removal of a portion of the first medical device from contact with or being coupled to the patient. The techniques may further involve in response to determining that the first medical device is being removed from service on the patient, communicating user-specific configuration data used by the first medical device to a second medical device, wherein the second medical device is a replacement medical device for the first medical device.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and techniques for automatic network configuration based on biometric authentication are described herein. In one example, one or more processors may obtain first biometric data derived from one or more sensor signals generated by one or more sensors of a first device coupled to a user. The one or more processors may obtain second biometric data derived from one or more sensor signals generated by one or more sensors of a second device. The one or more processors may compare the first biometric data and the second biometric data, determine that the second device is coupled to the user based on the comparison, and establish a communication link with the second device based on the determination that the second device is coupled to the user.
