The method includes: receiving, by a multifunction printer (MFP), a print job having the ED; identifying, by the MFP and after receiving the print job, a location in the ED for placing an item; prompting, by the MFP and after receiving the print job, a user for the item; obtaining, by the MFP and after receiving the print job, the item from an input device operated by the user; and printing, by the MFP and based on the print job, the page by placing the item at the location.

摘要： A scanner comprises a transparent platen mounted on a housing, and an object-imaging device within the housing mounted for longitudinal movement relative to the platen and an object supported thereby. The object-imaging device is rotatable about a transverse axis and comprises an aperture for receiving light reflected from the object. The object-imaging device has a travel distance between a home end position and a back end position, the travel distance comprising a central portion and at least one end portion. The scanner further comprises a mechanism operatively associated with the object-imaging device for rotating the device about the transverse axis thereof in response to movement of the device within the at least one end portion of the travel distance, the device being rotated in a direction so that the light-receiving aperture is rotated away from the central portion of the travel distance.

A transparent platen supported by the top wall of the housing comprises an upper surface for supporting an object to be scanned, a lower surface parallel with the upper surface of the platen, and a peripheral edge, the horizontal planar portion of the upper surface of the top wall of the housing lying above the upper surface of the platen. The object removal guide surface is (i) positioned relative to the upper, object-supporting planar surface of the platen to permit unobstructed sliding of an object across the peripheral edge of the platen and (ii) configured to raise at least a portion of the object during removal thereof to permit gripping of the raised portion of the object to facilitate removal thereof from the platen.

The power manager is operable to manage power from a battery to the application module through said connector and to monitor the voltage of the battery. The processor is programmed to send a power reduction command to the application module in response to the monitored battery voltage moving outside of a permissible range.A power sharing method comprises supplying power from the battery in the controller module to the application module detachably connected to the controller module. Power supplied to the application module is reduced in response to an adverse power indication to conserve power for the controller module.
