摘要： A method for manufacturing filaments for personal hygiene articles is described. The filaments are provided with a surface structure with at least one surface recess such as dimples and/or pittings. The filament includes at least a portion made of a material soluble by a corrosive agent and is covered in part with a cover layer stable to the corrosive agent such that a surface portion of the filament body substantially corresponding to the at least one surface recess is uncovered. The filament body is contacted with the corrosive agent for a limited time to create the surface recess in the uncovered surface portion.

摘要： An electric toothbrush (1) is described which incorporates a handle (2) and a brush attachment (3). The handle (2) houses an electric motor (8). Protruding from the handle (2) is a shaft (20), which is coupled to the electric motor (8). The brush attachment (3) can be mounted on the handle (2). The brush attachment (3) supports a bristle head (26) which can be coupled to the shaft (20), and from which protrude a multiplicity of bristles (4). In the operating mode, the bristle head (26) describes a rotary motion (49) and a stroke motion (50), with the frequency of the stroke movement (50) being higher, and preferably substantially higher, than the frequency of the rotary movement (49.) The stroke movement (50) provides a poking action of the bristles (4), which serves to loosen plaque from dental surfaces. The rotary movement (49) serves to wipe away plaque loosened from the dental surfaces.

摘要： A lens mount, especially but not exclusively for use with motion picture cameras, with special means for preventing transmission of noise through the lens mount from operation of moving parts within the camera to a microphone located in front of the camera. A focusing lens mount has two mounting parts which are movable axially relative to each other, and with a small clearance space between these two parts. An annular groove is provided, extending circumferentially around a cylindrical portion of one of these mounting parts. In this groove is a sound damping or impeding element, resiliently pressed against a companion cylindrical surface on the other of the mounting parts, to block passage of sound through the clearance space between the two cylindrical parts. The sound damping element is made of material having good dry-sliding characteristics.
