Abstract:
A sheet conveying device includes a housing provided with first and second side surfaces facing each other, and third and fourth side surfaces substantially orthogonal to the first and second side surfaces and facing each other. An entrance port is formed in the first side surface, an exit port is formed in the second side surface, and a sheet conveying path is formed in the housing. The housing includes first and second guide members constituting the sheet conveying path. The first and second guide members are connected to be pivotally movable relative to each other on the side of the third side surface. A gap portion is formed between the first and second guide members in a region from the connection portion on the side of the third side surface to the first side surface.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a multi-tray device and a relay device. The relay device includes a relay device cover that openably and closably covers a top side of the relay device. One of an edge portion at a side of the relay device in a lower end portion of the multi-tray cover and an edge portion at a side of the multi-tray device in a top surface portion of the relay device cover includes an inclined surface portion forming a shape by chamfering the edge portion. The inclined surface portion is formed so as to produce a component force in a direction to close the multi-tray cover when the top surface portion of the relay device cover bumps against the lower end portion of the multi-tray cover, while the relay device cover opens in a state where the multi-tray cover is opened.
Abstract:
A developer collection apparatus is provided with a suction duct, a collection box, and an auxiliary fan. One end of the suction duct is arranged near a developing unit. The collection box is connected to the other end of the suction duct and includes a suction fan, where a developer around the developing unit is suctioned and collected via the suction duct by using the suction fan. The auxiliary fan blows air through the suction duct at a certain middle point thereof.
Abstract:
A head unit includes a recording head and a unit frame. The unit frame includes a main frame extending along a width direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of a recording medium, and is configured to hold one or more recording heads on both side surfaces of the main frame. The main frame includes: a main body portion having a flat-plate shape and standing along the width direction; and bent portions formed by perpendicularly bending both end portions of the main body portion in the width direction. The unit frame includes a pair of reinforcing members provided at the bent portions. The reinforcing members each include a side wall portion opposed to the main body portion and a bottom surface portion provided so as to extend in a horizontal direction from a lower end portion of the side wall portion.
Abstract:
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a sheet conveyance portion, a pair of registration rollers, a recording portion, a plate portion, a suction roller, and an exhaust portion. The exhaust portion is disposed over an area from upstream of the recording portion to upstream of the pair of registration rollers with respect to the sheet conveyance direction and sucks air from above the conveyance belt and the plate portion in the direction away from the conveyance belt. The exhaust portion includes an exhaust hood and an exhaust fan. The exhaust fan guides the air in the exhaust hood through an air inlet into a recording portion housing and then passes the air through an exhaust outlet to discharge it via an air flow passage.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus is configured to include an apparatus main body, further including an internal sheet discharge portion for ejection of a sheet having an image formed thereon; and a relay conveying unit, positioned in the internal sheet discharge portion, and configured to convey the sheet to a post-processing device. The relay conveying unit has: a body portion; a cover member positioned on a side surface of the body portion; a detection switch; and a hook positioned on the cover member. The body portion and cover member form a sheet conveying path, the cover member being turnable in vertical directions into opening and closing states, to open and form the sheet conveying path, respectively, as detected by the detection switch. The hook prevents the cover member from being turned from the closing state and switches the detection switch into an on state.
Abstract:
A head unit includes a recording head, a head-side frame, a unit frame, a first head mounting member, a second head mounting member, a head angle adjustment mechanism, and an urging member. The unit frame is configured to hold the recording head on both side surfaces of a main frame standing along a width direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of a recording medium. The urging member is arranged on a side opposite to an opposing surface of the first head mounting member and the second head mounting member with respect to the main frame, and is configured to urge the head-side frame in a direction of separating away from the main frame, A counteraction of a pressing force that acts on the head-side frame from the urging member acts on the first head mounting member and the second head mounting member from the head-side frame.
Abstract:
A relay conveyance device detachably mounted on an image forming apparatus body is provided with a fixing member that holds a mounting state of the relay conveyance device to the image forming apparatus body. The fixing member is provided with a relay connector that relays the image forming apparatus body and the post-processing device. The post-processing device is electrically connected to the image forming apparatus body via the relay connector.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a protruding tray part. The protruding tray part is provided on the upper surface portion of a body casing part, extends in a paper discharge direction and has a convex shape which becomes convex at an upper side, and supports a part of a lower surface of a paper, which is discharged from a paper discharge port, from below, thereby forming a space between end portions of the paper and the upper surface portion of the body casing part. The paper conveying device is formed at a lower surface thereof with a guide recessed part. The guide recessed part has a concave shape corresponding to the convex shape of the protruding tray part, and is engaged with the convex shape to guide the paper conveying device when the paper conveying device is mounted in the in-body paper discharge space.
