    Abstract: A method ascertains a deceleration quantity of a brake system of a vehicle, the brake system having at least one brake and at least one additional brake. The method involves the steps of: providing a value of a manipulated variable applied by the brake system, the at least one brake being configured to produce a deceleration quantity in response to the value of the manipulated variable; ascertaining a braking effect that has been applied to the brake system and acts on the vehicle by way of the brake system in response to the manipulated variable; ascertaining a deceleration quantity of the at least one brake, the deceleration quantity corresponding to the value of the manipulated variable and being obtained on the basis of a manipulated variable, in particular taking into account vehicle parameters; and ascertaining a deceleration quantity of the at least one additional brake from the deceleration quantity of the at least one brake and the braking effect on the vehicle, in particular taking into account vehicle parameters.

    Abstract: A disk brake for a vehicle, in particular for a utility vehicle, is provided. The disk brake includes a brake disk, a brake caliper with application and back sections, brake pads having pad back plates with a pad-retaining spring supported under preload by a pad-retaining clip on the brake caliper, and a securing device releasably securing the pad-retaining clip via the pad back plate of the back-side brake pad. The securing device has at least one clip element and at least one retainer. In an installed state, at least one section of the at least one clip element is in engagement with at least one section of the retainer. During installation/removal of the pad-retaining clip, the at least one clip element section can be moved against a spring force. A corresponding brake pad set is provided.

    Abstract: A disc brake for a commercial vehicle has a brake caliper, which straddles a brake disc and is designed as a sliding caliper and is fastened to a stationary brake carrier, two brake pads, which are arranged in the brake caliper and can be moved in opposite directions and which each have a backing plate and a friction lining fastened to the backing plate, of which brake pads an action-side brake pad can be pressed against the brake disc by an application device via a brake piston, and at least one restoring device, by which the brake caliper can be restored after a braking-related displacement and release of the brake. The disc brake is designed such that the restoring device has at least two rods, which lie against the brake pads with spring loading against the respective application directions of the brake pads, of which rods one is designed as a pulling rod and the other is designed as a pushing rod.

    Abstract: An air supply system for a fuel cell unit and a pneumatic system includes: a fuel cell compressor which is designed to induct air from its intake side and by way of its outlet side convey said air to a fuel cell outlet of the air supply system, the fuel cell outlet being able to be connected to a fuel cell unit; a pneumatic system compressor which is designed to induct air from its intake side and by way of its outlet side convey the air to a pneumatic system outlet of the air supply system, the pneumatic system outlet being able to be connected to a pneumatic system; an intake opening; a fuel cell intake line which connects the intake side of the fuel cell compressor to the intake opening; and a pneumatic system intake line which connects the intake side of the pneumatic system compressor to the intake opening. The fuel cell compressor and the pneumatic system compressor can induct air by way of the intake opening.

    Abstract: A disc brake includes a brake caliper that engages over a brake disc and is designed as a sliding caliper. The disc brake has two brake pads which are located in the brake caliper, can be moved in opposite directions and each of which has a pad backing plate with a friction lining secured thereon. An action-side or application-side brake pad of the two brake pads can be pressed against the brake disc by a brake application device with the aid of at least one brake plunger. The brake also includes at least one restoring device, by which the brake caliper can be returned after a displacement and release of the brakes caused by a braking action. The restoring device has a spreading device which engages on the brake pads lying opposite one another and which acts with an identical force in opposition to the respective application direction. The spreading device includes spring-loaded spreading elements, each engaging on its respective pad backing plate. The spreading device is located in the central opening and the spreading elements engage directly or indirectly, outside the friction linings, on at least two contact regions of the brake pads, the regions facing each other at a distance from the center. Each contact region has a contact surface and a support surface, on which surfaces the spreading elements are movably located.

    Abstract: A disc brake has a brake caliper, which reaches over a brake disc, is designed as a sliding caliper, is fastened to a stationary brake bracket and has a central opening over the brake disc. Two brake pads, which are arranged in the brake caliper and can be moved in opposite directions each have a backing plate and a friction lining fastened thereto. An action-side brake pad can be pressed against the brake disc by an application device by way of at least one brake piston. At least one restoring device is provided, by which the brake caliper can be returned after displacement and release of the brake caused by braking, wherein the restoring device has a spreading device, which acts on the brake pads lying opposite each other and acts in the same way against each particular application direction and has resilient spreading elements that act on the respective backing plates. The spreading device is arranged in the central opening, wherein the spreading elements act directly or indirectly outside of the friction linings on one side in the center region or at least two contact regions of the brake pads arranged at a distance from each other with respect to the center, wherein the contact regions each have a contact surface and a bearing surface, on which the spreading elements are movably arranged.
