Abstract: A distance measuring device has a plurality of light receiving elements each of which receives a reflected optical signal reflected by an object, and an image processor that generates a distance image in accordance with distances to the object, based on signal intensities and light reception timings of the reflected optical signal received by the plurality of light receiving elements, wherein the image processor detects a direction of the object, based on at least either the signal intensities of the reflected optical signal received by the light receiving elements or the distances to the object measured based on the reflected optical signal, and divides at least one or some of pixels included in the distance image, based on the direction of the detected object.

Abstract: A distance measuring device includes a laser light source, an irradiation optical system comprising a beam spreader which is configured to spread the laser light about a first optical axis, a light reception optical system having a second optical axis different from the first optical axis and positioned to receive reflected light of the laser light from the object for measuring a distance to the object, a sensor with light receiving elements arranged in a first direction, the sensor being positioned to receive light reflected from the object which has passed through the light reception optical system, and a distance measuring unit configured to acquire distance information relating to the object based on the difference in time between emission of the laser light source and the reception of the reflected light at each of the plurality of light receiving elements.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus comprises processing circuitry, and the processing circuitry is configured to detect light intensity data including at least one of a reflected light intensity of light reflected on an object or an ambient light intensity based on a reception signal corresponding to a reflected light from the object, generate a two-dimensional image based on the light intensity data, recognize the object in the two-dimensional image, generate three-dimensional data by detecting a distance to the object based on the reception signal, and classify the three-dimensional data into one or more clusters based on the recognized object and the distance to the detected object.
