    摘要: A reactive hardenable binder composition based on(A) at least one aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aliphatic-cycloaliphatic polyepoxide wherein at least 2 epoxidized cycloaliphatic radicals are bound via an aliphatic bridge,(B) at least one polycarboxylic acid unit of formula ##STR1## having an acid number between 30 and 400 whereinR.sup.1 is a radical of an at least oligomer product selected from the group consisting of polyesters and polymers having initially free OH-groups,R.sup.2 is a radical of a dicarboxylic carbocyclic acid having a COOH-group in ortho-position to its ester bond and(C) a catalyst component of the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sup.3 is a radical of a homo- or copolymer or combination of both of an unsaturated carboxylic acid with a statistically distributed number of COOH side groups or the radical of a polyester having initially free COOH-groups andMe is one equivalent of an alkaline or an alkaline earth metal, thus being present in its salt form, a process for the preparation of hardened products from said composition and a coated article having a coating based on said composition.

    摘要: An aqueous copolymer dispersion can be prepared, with a particular choice of the monomers and the ratios of their amounts, from styrene, esters of acrylic or methacrylic acid, vinyl esters, monomers containing hydroxyl groups, acrylic and/or methacrylic acid, acrylamide or methacrylamide and addition compounds of glycidyl esters of branched monocarboxylic acids with unsaturated carboxylic acids, by polymerization in the presence of an anionic emulsifier and a radical initiator and, if appropriate, a non-ionic emulsifier, which dispersion, in combination with an aminoplast resin, provides thermosetting coatings with excellent properties. These coatings provide highly elastic, weather-resistant, water-resistant surface coatings, which have high adhesion and are free of flaws, on metallic substrates.

    摘要: Aqueous dispersion for the production of crosslinkable surface coatings, containing, as the binder, a crosslinkable dispersion copolymer formed from olefinically unsaturated monomers and, if appropriate, further customary formulation constituents of lacquers, the dispersed particles of copolymer having average particle diameters from 0.5 to 10 .mu.m and the proportion in the dispersion copolymer of comonomer units carrying crosslinkable groups being greater than 10% by weight, relative to the dispersion copolymer.The preparation of the dispersion by emulsion or suspension copolymerization, in particular with the addition of free radical chain transfer substances, and also the use of the dispersion as a constituent of baking lacquers, hydrofillers, metallic paints and EPC paints.Also a process for the bake-coating of surfaces of solid substrates using the abovementioned aqueous dispersion, wherein the required amount of dispersion is applied to the surface to be coated and is dried at a temperature below its minimum film-forming temperature, and the dried coating is crosslinked by baking at a temperature above the glass transition temperature.

    摘要: Process for bake coating the surfaces of solid materials by applying the required amount of an aqueous dispersion to the surface to be coated, the dispersion containing, as the binder, a coarse-grained, crosslinkable dispersion copolymer formed from olefinically unsaturated monomers and, if appropriate, further customary lacquer formulation constituents, and the crosslinkable dispersion copolymer being composed of a mixture of at least 2 components which can contain identical or different monomer units, of which at least one component A, which is coarse-grained, has a relatively low average molecular weight, and at least one component B, which can be coarse-grained or fine-grained, has a relatively high average high molecular weight, and the ratio by weight of the components A:B being preferably within the range from 99:1 to 1:1, drying the applied amount of dispersion at a temperature below its minimum film-formation temperature and cross-linking the dried coating by baking at a temperature above the glass transition temperature of the copolymer.

    摘要: Process for preparing copolymers soluble in organic solvents and containing hydroxyl groups, by the polymerization and esterification of (a) at least one .alpha.,.beta.-olefinically unsaturated carboxylic acid with (b) at least one olefinically unsaturated copolymerizable monomer and (c) at least one epoxy group-containing compound, at an elevated temperature, in the presence of a polymerization catalyst and, advantageously, a polymerization modifier, characterized in that glycidol, ##STR1## is used as component (c), either alone or in admixture with one or more glycidyl esters with 12 to 19 carbon atoms and derived from saturated fatty acids, the number of epoxy groups being at least equivalent to the number of carboxyl groups, and in mixtures of glycidol with glycidyl esters, the number of equivalents of glycidyl esters is at most twice as great as the number of equivalents of glycidol. The invention further relates to the use of the products obtained for the preparation of air- or oven-drying coating compositions.
