A submerged arc welding wire is provided that has a composition including, by mass %, C: 0.20 to 0.80%, Si: 0.15 to 0.90%, Mn: 15.0 to 30.0%, P: 0.030% or less, S: 0.030% or less, Cr: 6.0 to 15.0%, and N: 0.120% or less, the balance being Fe and incidental impurities. Where necessary, the wire may contain one or two selected from Ni and Mo, may further contain one, or two or more selected from V, Ti, and Nb, and may additionally contain one, or two or more selected from Cu, Al, Ca, and REM.

An electric resistance welded steel pipe includes a base metal zone and an electric resistance welded zone. The base metal zone has a predetermined chemical composition and a microstructure including, by volume, ferrite: more than 30%, and bainite: 10% or more. The total volume fraction of the ferrite and the bainite is 70% or more and 95% or less. The balance being one or two or more phases selected from pearlite, martensite, and austenite. Further, when regions surrounded by boundaries between adjacent crystals having a misorientation of 15° or more are defined as crystal grains, the average size of the crystal grains is less than 7.0 μm, and the volume fraction of crystal grains having a size of 40.0 μm or more is 30% or less. A compressive residual stress generated in the inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe in the axial direction is 250 MPa or less.

Provided is a clad welded pipe or tube that has improved pipe or tube mechanical properties by reducing the width of a weld without its function as a clad pipe or tube being impaired. A clad welded pipe or tube comprises: a first layer made of base metal; and a second layer placed on one surface of the first layer, and made of first cladding metal that is a material different from the base metal, wherein a pipe or tube circumferential length L1 of weld metal at a pipe or tube inner surface and a pipe or tube circumferential length L2 of the weld metal at a pipe or tube outer surface in a weld are each 0.0010 mm or more and 1.0 mm or less, and the base metal is not exposed at a first cladding metal-side surface of the clad welded pipe or tube in the weld.

A high-strength high-toughness electric-resistance-welded steel pipe having high resistance to post-weld heat treatment is provided. The steel pipe having a composition including C: 0.01% to 0.12%, Si: 0.05% to 0.50%, Mn: 1.0% to 2.2%, P: 0.03% or less, S: 0.005% or less, Al: 0.001% to 0.10%, N: 0.006% or less, Nb: 0.010% to 0.100%, and Ti: 0.001% to 0.050%. The steel pipe having a structure composed of 90% or more by volume of a bainitic ferrite phase and 10% or less (including 0%) by volume of a second phase. The bainitic ferrite phase having an average grain size of 10 μm or less, and the structure containing fine Nb precipitates having a particle size of less than 20 nm dispersed in a base material portion. The steel pipe having high strength and toughness that is maintained through post-weld heat treatment, including heating to a temperature of 600° C. or more.

Provided is a high-strength electric resistance welded steel pipe having excellent bendability and which includes a composition containing, on a mass % basis, C: 0.04% to 0.15%, Si: 0.10% to 0.50%, Mn: 1.0% to 2.2%, P: 0.050% or less, S: 0.005% or less, Cr: 0.2% to 1.0%, Ti: 0.005% to 0.030%, and Al: 0.010% to 0.050%, the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities, and a microstructure including polygonal ferrite with a volume fraction of 70% or more and retained austenite with a volume fraction of 3% to 20%, the balance being at least one selected from martensite, bainite, and pearlite, wherein the polygonal ferrite has an average grain size of 5 μm or more and an aspect ratio of 1.40 or less.

Provided is an electric resistance welded clad steel pipe or tube in which a region where solidification microstructure is formed, i.e. a region in a weld particularly having significant influence on properties, is reduced without impairing its function as a clad pipe or tube. An electric resistance welded clad steel pipe or tube comprises: a first layer made of carbon steel or low-alloy steel as base metal; and a second layer placed on one surface of the first layer, and made of stainless steel or a nickel-containing alloy as cladding metal, wherein the base metal is not exposed at a cladding metal-side surface of the electric resistance welded clad steel pipe or tube in a weld, and no solidification microstructure is contained in each of circular sections of 0.1 mm in radius respectively centered at specific three positions in a plane perpendicular to a pipe or tube longitudinal direction.

A method of monitoring a manufacturing status of an electric resistance welded pipe manufactured by shaping a steel strip into a pipe and butt welding both end parts of the steel strip in a width direction along a lengthwise direction includes: arranging an imaging unit in a gas shield nozzle having an opening opposing a region in which both of the end parts of the steel strip in the width direction are butt welded and shielding the region with inert gas by ejecting the inert gas onto the region through the opening, the imaging unit having a visual filed including the region; and determining quality of a butt-welded part based on an image shot by the imaging unit.

The steel pipe has a chemical composition containing, by mass%, C: 0.026% or more and 0.084% or less, Si: 0.10% or more and 0.30% or less, Mn: 0.70% or more and 1.90% or less, Al: 0.01% or more and 0.10% or less, Nb: 0.001% or more and 0.070% or less, V: 0.001% or more and 0.065% or less, Ti: 0.001% or more and 0.033% or less, Ca: 0.0001% or more and 0.0035% or less, in which the condition that Pcm is 0.20 or less is satisfied.
