    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose example user equipment and a base station for communication in a wireless communication network. One example user equipment includes at least one processor performing operations that include: receiving, by the user equipment, configuration information from a base station using a first communication resource. A communication configuration of the user equipment is defined by the configuration information using a second communication resource. The communication configuration is used for communicating with at least one of the base station or a further user equipment. In the base station case, the configuration information includes at least one of a scheduling request (SR) or a priority configuration.
