摘要： A machine for printing flat objects of various thicknesses successively fed the length of a table by means of a feed mechanism and printed by means of a printing mechanism is provided. The feed mechanism includes at least two feed rollers between which the objects pass. Each of the at least two feed rollers is rotatable about an axis of rotation and at least one of the feed rollers is motorized. The printing mechanism includes a revolving printing drum and a motorized counter-printing roller rotatable about an axis of rotation. The machine also includes a lever having a first end, a second end, and a middle. The lever is pivotable at its middle and joined at its middle by a stop joint. The first end of the lever supports the axis of rotation of the counter-printing roller, and the second end of the lever supports the axis of rotation of one of the at least two feed rollers, such that shifting of the feed roller whose axis is supported by the lever, subsequent to the passage of an object between the at least two feed rollers, causes pivoting of the lever and thus a corresponding shifting of the counter-printing roller, if not already shifted by the passage of a preceding object.

摘要： An apparatus is disclosed for inserting a document into an envelope. The apparatus comprises a rotating assembly which includes a document tranferring means. In first position of the rotating assembly, an envelope is fed and a document is fed to the transferring means. While the assembly is rotated to a second position, the document is being conveyed to the envelope and inserted therein. The envelope is then discharged and the assembly is rotated back to its first position.

摘要： A device for unstacking and opening envelopes from a stack of envelopes is provided. The device includes a frame having a receptacle area for receiving the stack. At least one, but preferably two, endless belts are located at the bottom of the receptacle area for extracting an envelope from the bottom of the stack, the flap of the envelope folded and oriented upwardly and in a forward direction. At least one set, but preferably two sets, of cooperating drive rollers rotating in opposite directions are arranged such that the extracted envelope can pass therebetween. The drive rollers move the extracted envelope in a feed direction dependent on the direction of drive roller rotation. A fixed wedge-shaped deflector is located downstream from the drive rollers and is arranged at an angle relative to the forward feed direction. A position detector is also provided for detecting the position of the extracted envelope with respect to the fixed deflector, as is a controller for controlling the endless belts and the drive rollers.

摘要： A device for extracting the contents of an envelope pre-cut on three sides is provided. The device includes at least one bi-directional upper extraction roller, at least one bi-directional lower extraction roller cooperating with the upper extraction roller, and a receptacle for receiving the extracted contents of the pre-cut envelope. A controller causes the upper and lower extraction rollers to unfold the envelope and extract its contents by causing the upper and lower extraction rollers to move forward and rearward in accordance with the following successive steps: (a) the upper and lower extraction rollers move the envelope in a forward direction, the envelope being oriented with its uncut side facing a rearward direction; (b) the lower extraction rollers stop moving and the upper extraction rollers move an upper fold of the envelope in the rearward direction, whereby the upper fold is rounded and opened; (c) the upper and lower extraction rollers move the opened envelope and its contents in the forward direction until the contents are disengaged from the upper and lower extraction rollers, but the opened envelope is still held therebetween; and (d) the upper and lower extraction rollers abruptly cease to move, thereby causing the contents of the envelope to escape and be collected in the receptacle.
