    摘要: Methods and system for treating blackwater are disclosed. A pyrolysis chamber and a condensing heat exchanger are provided. A blackwater slurry, consisting of blackwater solids, water, and volatiles, is passed into the pyrolysis chamber. The blackwater slurry is heated to produce steam, to separate at least a portion of the volatiles, and pyrolyze the blackwater solids, the separated volatiles passing out of the pyrolysis chamber. The steam and separated volatiles are cooled in a condensing heat exchanger, condensing at least a portion of the steam and at least a portion of the separated volatiles as a contaminated water stream. A water-clarifying chemical is added into the contaminated water stream that reacts with the volatiles, resulting in a treated water stream.

    摘要: A winch drum is disclosed. In a first aspect, a first set of teeth are positioned around an outer perimeter of a drum. The first set of teeth taper from a first crown to a first base. A second set of teeth are positioned around the outer perimeter of the drum. The second set of teeth taper from a second crown to a second base. The second set of teeth are offset from the first set of teeth such that a gap between the first bases and the second bases forms a sinusoidal channel for a line to follow the first set of teeth and the second set of teeth becomes a guide for the line so that the line can engage the sinusoidal channel. The line follows the sinusoidal channel and each change of direction along the sinusoidal path causes the line to engage by friction with the first bases and the second bases. In a second aspect, the drum includes a trough that follows a sinusoidal path and wherein the trough is narrower at its bottom than at its top.

    摘要: Systems and methods for disposing of blackwater are disclosed. A first vessel contains a screw running through the vessel from a first end to a second end. The screw is surrounded radially by a filter. The first vessel has a blackwater inlet adjacent the first end. An extrusion plate is adjacent the second end of the first vessel. A combustor vessel is configured to receive a solids component from the extrusion plate. A blackwater stream, consisting of a liquid component and the solids component, is passed through the blackwater inlet into the first vessel, is conveyed by the screw from the first end to the second end, and is pressurized against the extrusion plate. The liquid component is thereby forced from the blackwater stream through the filter and the solids component is forced through the extrusion plate into the combustor. The combustor is configured to combust the solids component.
