Abstract: A method for controlling a full load mode of a hybrid vehicle by a controller may include: calculating driver demand torque based on acceleration pedal position sensor (APS) information or brake pedal position sensor (BPS) information; predicting the driver's acceleration/deceleration information based on the hybrid vehicle's driving information; predicting the driver demand torque based on the predicted acceleration/deceleration information; predicting a state of charge (SOC) of a battery that supplies electric power to a motor for driving the hybrid vehicle, based on the calculated driver demand torque and the predicted driver demand torque; and controlling an engine for charging the battery based on the predicted battery SOC, in order to keep the hybrid vehicle from entering into the full load mode in which the engine configured to produce a maximum torque and the motor are used.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method of controlling a mode transition in order to predict a driver's required torque to reduce non-driving fuel loss, and a hybrid vehicle for performing the method.In particular, the method of controlling a mode transition of a hybrid vehicle may include: determining whether to change a first mode to a second mode based on a first torque; determining a second torque expected to be generated at a near-future time after a current time; determining whether or not an engine clutch engagement is possible at the near-future time based on the second torque or a predicted acceleration; and performing the change from the first mode to the second mode when the mode change from the first mode to the second mode is determined and the engine clutch engagement is possible.

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a torque intervention of a hybrid vehicle includes a driving information detector for detecting a torque intervention request of the hybrid vehicle, and a controller for deriving a target motor torque and a target engine torque depending on a required torque variation when the torque intervention is requested, the target motor torque being derived so that a high voltage battery does not deviate from a state of charge (SOC) charging and discharging limit, the target motor torque limiting the target engine torque to be equal to or less than a target engine torque before the intervention request to obtain a final engine torque, and the target motor torque correcting the target motor torque to a final motor torque depending on the final engine torque.
