Abstract:
The present invention discloses a passive optical network communications method: reporting, by an optical network unit, ONU, a calibration record of the ONU, where the calibration record includes an ID of a calibrated wavelength channel; sending a first message to the ONU when the OLT determines, according to the calibration record, that a target wavelength channel ID corresponding to a target wavelength channel to which the ONU needs to switch is not in the calibration record, where the first message includes a forced wavelength switching flag; and instructing the ONU to switch to the calibrated target wavelength channel. In this way, the ONU can implement wavelength switching quickly after calibrating a new wavelength channel so as to perform data communication over the calibrated new wavelength channel.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to information transmission methods in a passive optical network (PON) system. One example method includes sending, by an optical line terminal (OLT), a first power range and time indication to an unregistered optical network unit (ONU), where the first power range and the time indication indicate the ONU to send a serial number of the ONU to the OLT at a time indicated by the time indication in case a downlink receive power of the ONU is within the first power range, and receiving, by the OLT, the serial number of the ONU.

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to message transmission methods in a PON system. One example method includes sending, by an optical line terminal (OLT), a first message to an unregistered optical network unit (ONU), where the first message includes at least one piece of indication message, and one piece of indication message of the at least one piece of indication message indicates a first power range and a first time range associated with the first power range, and receiving, by the OLT in the first time range, a registration message sent by the ONU, where a downstream receive power of the ONU falls within the first power range.
Abstract:
Embodiments of this application provide an upstream resource grant method, a device, a passive optical network, and a computer-readable storage medium. The upstream resource grant method includes: An optical line terminal obtains an upstream grant message on which transformation processing has been performed, where a transformation parameter used for the transformation processing includes a physical identity of an optical network unit (ONU); and the optical line terminal sends the upstream grant message on which the transformation processing has been performed, where the upstream grant message carries an upstream resource grant indication of the optical network unit, and the upstream resource grant indication is used to indicate an upstream resource granted to the optical network unit. The technical solutions provided in the embodiments of this application help reduce an occurrence probability of a rogue ONU phenomenon, and further improve service running stability of a PON system.
Abstract:
A multiplexer/demultiplexer and a passive optical network system are provided. The multiplexer/demultiplexer includes N optical multiplexing/demultiplexing modules. The optical multiplexing/demultiplexing modules multiplex signals with different wavelengths from a plurality of ports to a same port, or demultiplex signals with different wavelengths from one port to different ports. The N optical multiplexing/demultiplexing modules correspond to the signals with different wavelengths. In the optical multiplexing/demultiplexing modules, a negative dispersion amount and an insertion loss of an Mth optical multiplexing/demultiplexing module are less than those of an (M+1)th optical multiplexing/demultiplexing module, where N is a positive integer, and M is a positive integer less than or equal to N. The multiplexer/demultiplexer and the passive optical network system increase an optical power budget between an optical transmitter and an optical transceiver.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a self-injection laser, a WDM-PON system and an optical line terminal. The self-injection laser includes a gain medium, an array waveguide grating AWG, a periodic filter and a reflection module. The AWG is configured to multiplex an optical signal received from the gain medium via the branch port, and output the multiplexed optical signal via the common port. The periodic filter is configured to filter the optical signal output by the AWG, where at least a part of the filtered optical signal is reflected by the reflection module, and the reflected signal is returned back and injected to the gain medium.
