摘要: An eductor apparatus having an air gap and a venturi, a bypass channel and a spray protection device in the form of a deformable porous body to prevent splash back produced at the inlet to the venturi from escaping through the air gap. The spray protection device may also function to absorb the energy of a misaligned water jet and provide an emergency flow path.

摘要: A liquid flow-restriction device has a plurality of flow-restriction passages connected to a common outlet. Each flow-restriction passage has a magnetically operable valve having a valve member movable between an open position and a closed position. The valves are operated by a common actuating element selectively positionable with respect to the valve members to open the valves. The actuating element is a permanent magnet. The device is simple and allows easy selection of a flow rate to a dilution dispenser.

摘要: A spectral interval excited by ICP-ES containing expected lines is modeled from wavelength calibration information and from spectra of model components. A sample is then excited and fit to the data with concurrent observation of wavelength calibration and a linear least squares fit obtained with analysis of residuals to determine presence of unexpected spectral features which, if present, provide additional model components for an iterative fitting.

摘要: A mechanical position indicator for providing a visual indication that a first part of an aircraft landing gear has assumed a predetermined position relative to a second part, the position indicator being arranged to be coupled to a first one of the first and second parts and in a first state arranged to hold an indicator element in a deployed position, the position indicator being arranged such that upon the first part assuming the predetermined position relative to the second part, a second one of the first and second parts changes the position indicator from the first state to a second state in which the indicator element is displaced from the deployed position, the position indicator being arranged to inhibit the indicator element thereafter returning to the deployed position.

摘要: A method and apparatus for calibrating an equalizer. The method comprises the steps of defining one or more equalization parameters and calculating a bit error rate of a signal for one or more values of a first of the one or more equalization parameters by counting at least one of running disparity errors and incorrect symbol errors. A value for the first of the one or more equalization parameters which provides the lowest bit error rate is set.

摘要: Various embodiments for determining a correct video standard for a display device (e.g., a television monitor) are described. In an embodiment, a test signal in accordance with a video standard is transmitted to the display device. One or more signals transmitted by the display device are analyzed to determine whether the video standard is a correct video standard for the display device.

摘要: A camera and related methodology in which a stitched panoramic image may be generated from a series of individual image frames onboard the camera and displayed on the camera display in a “real-time” environment. This allows the user to preview the completed panorama on the camera without the need to first upload the image frames onto a support computer. In this manner, the user is able to identify potential problems with the panorama and, if necessary, reacquire the individual image frames. In order to reduce the amount of onboard processor power and/or memory required, stitching may be performed on relatively lower resolution image frame files within the camera. When the preview indicates that image data for the panorama has been successfully acquired, then the full resolution image data may be uploaded to a support computer for processing.

摘要: Digital cameras and methods that provide improved image alignment for panorama image capture. The present invention identifies features that will likely be used by a stitching algorithm, and highlights those features for a user by superimposing them on top of a “liveview” image presented on a display of the digital camera. By applying an edge detection algorithm to the previously captured image, the user can select and display those features of the previous image that are relevant to aligning the camera for the subsequent image.
