Abstract: Methods and systems for reducing the likelihood of rollover for an e-pallet are provided. The systems include one or more cameras configured to obtain camera data as to a user of the e-pallet, and a processor coupled to the one or more sensors and configured to at least facilitate determining, using the camera data, a relative orientation of the user, determining an e-pallet vertical vector based on the camera data and a user vertical vector based on the relative orientation of the user, determining a bank angle of the e-pallet based on the e-pallet vertical vector and the user vertical vector, and taking a control action for the e-pallet, in accordance with instructions provided by the processor, based on the bank angle.

Abstract: A system is provided for shifting gears in a cycle. The shifter system includes a motor that delivers a torque to propel the cycle. A variable ratio transmission is coupled with the motor. A cable transmits movement to shift the variable ratio transmission. A cable pulley is connected with the cable and is rotated to move the cable. A lever is coupled with the cable pulley and imparts rotation to the cable pulley. A sensor is positioned to detect an initial input on the lever that does not rotate the cable pulley. A controller interrupts the torque from the motor in response to the initial input and prior to a shift in response to the transmission of movement by the cable.

Abstract: A system and method to determine the health state of a damper associated with a wheel of a vehicle using indirect measurements obtain information from one or more sensors. The one or more sensors includes a wheel speed sensor, inertial measurement unit, tire pressure sensor, steering wheel sensor, global positioning system (GPS) receiver, or a camera. The information from at least one of the one or more sensors includes at least one measurement of a parameter not directly characterizing the damper. The method also includes comparing the at least one measurement of the parameter with data of the parameter to estimate wear of the damper. The data includes a historical measurement, a measurement for another wheel of the vehicle, a measurement from another vehicle, or an output of a model, and a maintenance or replacement task is triggered by the estimate of the wear of the damper.

Abstract: A cable decoupling mechanism is provided for a bicycle having an unfolded state and a folded state. The cable decoupling mechanism includes a housing; a shifter pulley arranged at least partially within the housing and configured to receive a shifter cable coupled to a shifter of the bicycle; and a gear pulley arranged at least partially within the housing and configured to receive a gear cable coupled to a gear mechanism of the bicycle. The shifter pulley and the gear pulley are mechanically engaged together in the unfolded state such that the shifter cable is mechanically coupled with the gear cable for mutual actuation, and the shifter pulley and the gear pulley are mechanically disengaged from one another in the folded state such that the shifter cable and the gear cable are mechanically decoupled for independent movement.
