摘要: A copolyester resin composition is described. The copolyester resin composition includes a linear copolyester polymer and a linear copolyester oligomer. A particularly suitable linear copolyester oligomer is an intermediate of the copolyester polymer. The composition exhibits improved melt flowability and is therefore particularly useful in the manufacture of products made via injection molding methods. A process for forming the composition is also described.

摘要: The present invention is directed to an extrusion-coated article comprising: a substrate with a coating material extrusion coated onto at least a portion of the substrate, and at least one profile extruded end-cap coupled with an end of the substrate, with a cross-section of the end-cap comprising an end-cap profile. The end of the substrate includes a recess extending inwardly from an outer surface of the end of the substrate, such that a cross-section of the end of the substrate comprises a substrate end profile. The end-cap profile substantially corresponds with the substrate end profile, such that at least a portion of the end-cap is configured to be received within the recess for coupling the end-cap with the end of the substrate.

摘要: An object can be formed in an additive manufacturing process, such as FDM, by providing a substrate having at least a surface that is made of a first material, and forming one or more layers of a second material on the surface of the substrate, wherein a Hildebrand solubility parameter of the second material is within about 5% of a Hildebrand solubility parameter of the first material. In this manner, the object part formed by the one or more layers of the second material may be incorporated into the object. In an example, the object includes a first portion comprised of the one or more layers of the second material and a second portion comprised of the substrate, the first portion having a first haze value and the second portion having a second haze value, wherein a percent difference between the first haze value and the second haze value is equal to or greater than about 165%.

摘要: Disclosed are void-containing films and shrinkable films which show excellent density reduction that is retained upon exposures to high temperatures. The voiding agents are hollow glass microspheres. The shrinkable films have high shrinkage and retain their low density after processing under conditions of temperature and moisture used in typical recycling processes. The films are useful as for sleeves, labels, laminates and other shrinkable film applications, and their lower density allows them to be readily separated from soft drink bottles, food containers and the like during recycling operations.

摘要: An object can be produced by depositing a material, layer-by-layer by an additive manufacturing process, onto a surface of a substrate. Removal of the object from the substrate may be accomplished without mechanically contacting the object with a device or chemically contacting the object. In an example, removal of the object from the substrate can be accomplished by flexing or bending the substrate. The substrate can be configured to elastically deform in response to a load applied to the sheet causing a deflection at a center of the sheet in an amount of at least about 12 mm and/or the sheet to have a radius of curvature that is less than or equal to about 305 mm.
