Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present disclosure provide a prosthetic valve (e.g., prosthetic heart valve) and a valve delivery apparatus for delivery of the prosthetic valve to a native valve site via the human vasculature. The delivery apparatus is particularly suited for advancing a prosthetic heart valve through the aorta (i.e., in a retrograde approach) for replacing a diseased native aortic valve. The delivery apparatus in particular embodiments is configured to deploy a prosthetic valve from a delivery sheath in a precise and controlled manner at the target location within the body.

Abstract: In a particular embodiment, the present disclosure provides a prosthetic valve delivery assembly that includes a storage tube and a nose cone cap. A prosthetic valve having a frame is at least partially disposed within the storage tube. A nose cone is disposed about an elongated shaft. The nose cone cap and the storage tube have mating first and second locking member that can be coupled to selectively secure the nose cone cap to the storage tube.

Abstract: An anchor for securing medical devices within a patient and/or sealing an opening in a body structure can be deployed via a catheter. The anchor may include a distal plate, and proximal plate, and a bridge portion connecting the plates. The anchor may include a tensioning member which can pull the plates together in order to secure the anchor in place and/or seal the opening in the body structure. A single anchor can be used, or multiple anchors, to secure tethers and other medical devices within a patient.

Abstract: One method of implanting a prosthetic valve includes advancing the valve into a patient with a delivery apparatus. The valve includes apices circumferentially-spaced apart relative to each other. At least some of the apices include first apertures. The delivery apparatus includes release arms and a sheath. The release arms include second apertures for receiving the apices. At least one of the second apertures of the release arms has a different length than another one of the second apertures. The method also includes positioning the valve at a location, retracting a sheath of the delivery apparatus relative to the valve, allowing the valve to self-expand from a radially compressed state to a radially expanded state, and while the valve is coupled to the delivery apparatus, pivoting the valve relative about the release arms such that an axis of the valve is tilted relative to an axis of the delivery apparatus.

Abstract: Valve repair devices and systems configured to detect proper valve leaflet insertion. The device/system can have a pair of paddles and a clasp attached to each of the paddles. The clasps may have a fixed arm attached to the paddle, a movable arm connected to the fixed arm that is movable between an open position and a closed position, and an indicator arm connected to at least one of the fixed arm and the movable arm. The indicator arm can move between a first position when not engaged with a leaflet and a second, engaged position when engaged with the leaflet. Movement of the indicator arm from the first position to the second, engaged position indicates capture of a leaflet of the native valve by the pair of paddles.

Abstract: An implantable prosthetic device has a coaption element and at least one anchor. The coaption element is configured to be positioned within the native heart valve orifice to help fill a space where the native valve is regurgitant and form a more effective seal. The coaption element can have a structure that is impervious to blood. The coaption element can be connected to leaflets of the native valve by the anchor.

Abstract: Valve repair devices are disclosed herein. The valve repair devices are configured to reduce or inhibit regurgitant blood flow through a native heart valve. The valve repair devices are configured to be positioned within the native heart valve orifice and attached to the native heart valve. The device can be connected to leaflets of the native valve by a variety of different types of paddles.
