Abstract: The present disclosure relates to hydrosilylation curable silicone rubber compositions having polyorganosiloxane cross-linkers containing at least two or at least three terminal silicon bonded hydrogen groups and one or more hydrosilylation cure inhibitor compounds selected from multiacrylates having at least three acrylate groups per molecule. Cured products resulting from the cure of such compositions and which may include elastomeric products are also disclosed. A hydrosilylation curable silicone composition comprises: (A) one or more polyorganosiloxanes containing at least two unsaturated groups per molecule, which unsaturated groups are selected from alkenyl and alkynyl groups and having a viscosity in a range of 1,000 to 200,000 mPa·s at 25° C.; (B) a polyorganosiloxane containing at least two terminal silicon bonded hydrogen groups; (C) at least one hydrosilylation catalyst; and (D) a hydrosilylation cure inhibitor comprising a multiacrylate compound having at least three acrylate groups per molecule.

Abstract: A method of formfree printing a three-dimensional object in layers with at least one printing material includes outputting printing material in at least one printing material string in string-shape via at least one printing head; receiving, via a printing platen, at least one printing material string output by the at least one printing head; providing a rod-shaped heating device movably arranged over the printing platen; controlling the rod-shaped heating device, via a heat controller, to emit a heat irradiation directed to the printing platen to heat the at least one printing material string to a reaction temperature to trigger a chemical reaction of the at least one printing material of the at least one printing material string; providing at least one motor coupled to the rod-shaped heating device to move it over the printing platen; and controlling the at least one motor, via a motor controller, to move the rod-shaped heating device over the printing platen to harden the at least one printing material string printed on the printing platen.

Abstract: There is provided an adhesion mediator composition for use in the adhesion of silicone elastomers made from hydrosilylation curable silicone rubber compositions to thermoplastic substrates, especially polyolefin substrates. There is also provided a process for adhering silicone elastomers to thermoplastic substrates using the adhesion mediator composition. The adhesion mediator composition comprises: (i) a trialkoxysilane; (ii) a platinum group metal based hydrosilylation reaction catalyst; (iii) an alkoxy titanium compound; (iv) a tetraalkoxysilane; and (v): either (a′) a polyorganosiloxane containing at least two unsaturated groups; or (b′) a mixture of two or more polyorganosiloxanes containing at least two unsaturated groups. The method comprises the steps of: (a) optionally, activating a thermoplastic substrate surface; (b) treating the optionally activated thermoplastic substrate surface with the adhesion mediator composition; (c) applying a hydrosilylation curable silicone rubber composition on to the treated surface resulting from step (b); and (d) curing the hydrosilylation curable silicone rubber composition.
