摘要: The present disclosure provides a film. In an embodiment, a film for suppressing odors is provided and includes a composition of (A) from 85 wt % to 99 wt % of a thermoplastic polymer and (B) from 15 wt % to 1 wt % of an odor suppressant. The odor suppressant is a blend composed of (Bi) particles of zinc oxide and (Bii) zinc ionomer. The zinc oxide particles (Bi) have a D50 particle size from 100 nm to 3000 nm, a surface area from 1 m2/g to 9 m2/g, and a porosity less than 0.020 m3/g. The composition has a methyl mercaptan odor suppression value less than 70 at 3 days exposure to methyl mercaptan as measured in accordance with ASTM D5504-12.

摘要: A film comprising a) at least one base layer comprising a thermoplastic polymeric matrix material; and b) a skin layer comprising a thermoplastic polymeric matrix material and from 5 wt % to 80 wt % of polymeric particles having an average particle diameter from 0.5 μm to 15 μm, a refractive index from 1.46 to 1.7, and at least 60 mole % of acrylic monomer units wherein the film is stretched by a factor of 2 to 8 uniaxially or biaxially; and wherein after stretching, the skin layer has a thickness that is between 50% and 200% of the diameter of the polymeric particles, and a method of making the film, are disclosed.

摘要: This invention relates to a polymeric composition suitable for greenhouse film applications, and greenhouse films made therefrom. The polymeric composition suitable for greenhouse film applications according to the present invention comprises a) 50 to 99 percent by weight of a continuous polymeric phase comprising a polymer selected from the group consisting of a polyolefin, a polyolefin copolymer, an ethylene propylene copolymer with an acrylic ester, an ethylene or propylene copolymer with a vinyl acetate, and combinations thereof; and b) 1 to 50 percent by weight of polymeric particles having an average particle diameter of 0.5 to 10 μm; a refractive index from 1.474 to 1.545; an average particle hardness from 1.2367E+10 N/m2 to 8.4617E+10 N/m2; and at least 60% polymerized acrylic monomer units.
