Abstract: A wireless adapter front end system and method for an information handling system including a wireless adapter for communicating on a plurality antenna systems for connection to a plurality of wireless links and an antenna configurable to have a plurality of antenna radiation patterns via an antenna pattern steering control interface, wherein the antenna is operating in a first antenna radiation pattern. An antenna adaptation controller executing code instructions for steering the antenna radiation pattern based upon a plurality of antenna trigger inputs, wherein the antenna trigger inputs include WLAN signal state feedback data and information handling system physical configuration data for configuration of the antenna system relative to a display screen and base housing of the information handling system, the antenna adaptation controller receiving the antenna trigger inputs and selecting a second antenna radiation pattern for comparing a WLAN radio link signal levels of the second antenna radiation pattern to the first antenna radiation pattern, and the antenna adaptation controller setting the second antenna radiation pattern as the highest if the WLAN radio link signal level of the second antenna radiation pattern is greater than the WLAN radio link signal level of the first antenna radiation pattern.

Abstract: A mobile information handling system may comprise a plurality of transceiving antennas transmitting N×N WLAN signals and M×M WWAN signals according to a preset antenna configuration, mounted in a case for the mobile information handling system and a processor executing machine readable executable code instructions of the dynamic wireless antenna co-existence control system to receive an indication of co-location interference and an identification of the M×M WWAN signals as a victim signal negatively impacted by the co-location interference, instruct a first interference controller operably connected to the processor and a first tunable impedance matching circuit to route the victim signal from a first one of the plurality of transceiving antennas to a WWAN radio modem via the first tunable impedance matching circuit, and instruct the first tunable impedance matching circuit to apply an impedance adjustment that maximizes the port isolation of an antenna port for the first WWAN transceiving antenna.

Abstract: A mobile information handling system executing code instructions of a dynamic antenna co-existence control system may comprise a plurality of transceiving antennas mounted in a small form factor case for the mobile information handling system, a plurality of cellular and Wi-Fi communications modules transceiving signals according to a plurality of data streams, an adaptive massive MIMO multiplexer coupling the communications modules to the four transceiving antennas, a memory storing a data stream multiplexing configuration table, and a processor. The processor may execute code instructions of the dynamic antenna coexistence control system to receive trigger inputs describing an operational condition of the mobile information handling system, identify one or more of the plurality of configurations of the plurality of data streams as an optimal configuration for enhancing throughput based on the trigger inputs, and instruct the adaptive massive MIMO multiplexer to operate according to the optimal configuration.

Abstract: A system and method operating a convertible information handling system comprising a processor executing code instructions for a modular dynamic wireless power control system for detecting an active wireless link operating via an antenna system and a first orientation mode, wherein the transmission power of the antenna system is limited to a regulatory safety maximum depending on orientation, the processor determining the permitted regulatory safety maximum transmission power for the first orientation mode for the information handling system and the processor determining relative transmission activity levels for the information handling system relative to the first active wireless link and the second active wireless link, including a first wireless link data rate transmission level for the first antenna system and a second wireless link data rate transmission level for the second antenna system. Abstract: An information handling system may include a processor, a memory, a radio to transceive wirelessly via an antenna with a wireless network, and a touchpad to receive touch input via a surface of the touchpad when the information handling system is detected in a clamshell configuration, where the touch input is received by a touchpad driver and processed to a corresponding touch input command. An orientation sensor to detect when the information handling system is changed to a tablet configuration and a controller to deactivate the touchpad to receive the touch input for processing to a corresponding touch input command and to activate and operatively couple a metallic layer of the touchpad to a proximity sensor integrated circuit to detect when a user's body is close to the antenna to reduce the power for transmission via the antenna to reduce a specific absorption rate (SAR) level.

Abstract: An antenna front-end module, method, and information handling system are adapted to the application of a direct-current (DC) bias voltage in relation to an antenna and detect a connection status of the antenna based on a sensed DC voltage. When the connection status corresponds to the antenna being connected, a first transmit power level is configured. When the connection status corresponds to the antenna being disconnected, a second transmit power level is configured. A transmit power boost can be provided such that the first transmit power level is greater than the second transmit power level. The first transmit power level can correspond to a radiative transmission mode, and the second transmit power level can correspond to a conductive transmission mode.
