摘要: A method of presenting a visual representation of a probable impact of a weather phenomenon to a location includes obtaining an impact function for the location by combining a weather function corresponding to a characteristic of the weather phenomenon with a damage function associated with the same characteristic. A graphic representation of an interest at the location is obtained. A visual representation of a probable impact of the weather phenomenon on the interest by modifying the graphic representation of the interest, where the modification is based on a predicted impact to the interest determined using the impact function.

摘要: Techniques are generally described that relate to a method and system for selecting an advertisement for a subscriber of a multi-platform service operating over a transmission medium. An advertisement computer presents advertisements to the subscriber over a platform included in the multiplatform service. Each of the advertisements is associated with a geographic location. The advertisement computer may receive positive responses to the presentment of the plurality of advertisements and define a target geographic area. A plurality of local advertisement responses from the positive responses are selected by the advertisement computer. Each local advertisement response is associated with a location inside the defined target geographic area. The advertisement computer defines a positive response area based on the plurality of local advertisement responses and selects a first new advertisement. The new advertisement is associated with a location within the target geographic area and outside of the positive response area.

摘要: Methods and systems of personalizing navigation for a user on a computer system are generally disclosed. Example methods and systems can be arranged for evaluating user observation data received from a navigation device remote from the computer system over a network includes receiving, at the computer system, the user observation data and a route request associated with the user. A user identity associated with the route request can be determined based at least in part on the received user observation data. One or more preferences can be evaluated to select a specific preference associated with the user identity. A route can be compiled, on a processing module, based at least in part on the specific preference. The compiled route can be provided over the network to the navigation device.

摘要: Method and system for creating one or more advertising avail sections (subavails) and thereupon aggregating the subavails to form one or more groups of subavails. The advertisement opportunities (avails) may be divided into sections (subavails) with each section being directed at a particular target audience (group). The subavails are then aggregated into one or more groups of subavails so that the groups of subavails can be sold to the advertisers. The grouping of subavails is generally based on a correlation wherein the subavails are characterized based on one or more characteristics. The groups of subavails are formed based on one or more shared characteristics. The advertiser has an option to buy a group of subavails (rather than an avail in prior art), whereby the advertiser may reach a targeted group of an audience.
