Abstract: The present application relates to the technical field of secondary batteries, and in particular to a binder for secondary batteries and a preparation method thereof, a separator comprising the binder, a battery cell, a battery and an electrical apparatus. The binder for secondary batteries includes an organic polymer. The organic polymer has a first glass transition temperature and a second glass transition temperature, the first glass transition temperature is less than or equal to 25° C., and the second glass transition temperature is greater than 25° C. During coating of a separator, the binder is non-viscous at room temperature to facilitate winding and unwinding of the separator. However, the binder has a better bonding force when a cold pressing process is carried out after the winding with positive and negative electrode plates, so that the positive and negative electrode plates and the separator fit each other closely.

Abstract: The present application relates to the technical field of secondary batteries, and in particular to a binder for secondary batteries and a preparation method, a secondary battery, and an electrical apparatus thereof. The binder includes a core structure and a shell structure disposed on a surface of the core structure. The shell structure includes an acrylate copolymer, and the core structure comprises a rigid polymer. The rigid polymer has a crystallinity ranging from 32% to 94%. The binder with a core-shell structure includes the core structure of the rigid polymer. During cold pressing of a battery cell, the rigid polymer acts as a support, making a particle structure of the binder stable, that is, the rigid polymer acts as a support, resulting in an overall increase in the rigidity of the binder.

When the separator is coated, the binder is stirred evenly in water, coated on the separator, and oven dried to form a bonding layer on the separator. The bonding layer includes a side facing the separator and a side away from the separator. The bonding layer is bonded on the separator, and the side away from the separator has no adhesiveness, which facilitates the winding and unwinding of the separator.
