A release arrangement for a hydraulically actuated clutch in a motor vehicle has an energy accumulator connected with a hydraulic system. The energy accumulator is connected with a pedal via a kinematic arrangement which adapts the pedal forces to the pedal path. It is possible to adapt the boosting force characteristic to the required pedal force curve in a very precise manner. This leads to a boosting force that possibly increases the depressing force, but primarily increases the force in the boosting area following the dead center of the kinematic arrangement. The characteristic of the boosting force curve over the pedal path can be adapted to the respective operating system in the motor vehicle without major structural alterations.

In a cylinder for a hydraulic system, a seal has a sealing bead clamped between a housing of the cylinder and a supporting part which holds the sealing bead in a deformed state by pretensioning. The seal is reliably held in its intended position by the supporting part and, therefore, pressure fluctuations in the pressure space do not cause a relative movement of the seal and wear of the sealing bead.

In a master/slave cylinder system for clutches or brakes, primary seals have bevels which interact with similar bevels of formations on housings of the respective cylinders. Along with the lowest possible friction in the region of the sealing lips, this permits carrying out uncomplicated pressure/negative-pressure filling in the case of the master cylinder. The primary seals slide by the wedge of effects in the direction of the pressure on the bevels of the annular formations and reduce the annular bearing face of the sealing lip in a frictionally optimized manner.

The hydraulic coupling includes a socket part defining an internal recess, a plug part configured for insertion into the socket part, a locking element that engages with the plug part and the socket part in an assembled state of the hydraulic coupling and which holds the plug part and the socket part captively together, a damping element that is configured for damping undesirable vibrations, with the damping element being supported on the locking element, and a support element disposed between the damping element and the locking element and extending around the entire circumference of the damping element.

A hydraulic cylinder includes a housing having a fluid connection for connecting to a hydraulic system and an after-running connection for connecting to a fluid after-running vessel, and a piston which is axially displaceable in the housing to define a variable pressure space having a gas collecting portion, the piston being fixed against rotation in the housing and having at least one after-running groove which is oriented substantially toward the gas collecting portion. A primary seal arranged in the housing and receiving the piston therethrough is bridged by the after-running groove when the piston is in an extended end position, whereby the gas collecting portion of the pressure space communicates with the after-running connection when the piston is in the extended end position.

A hydraulic actuation device for the adjustment of units in motor vehicles includes a piston-cylinder unit with a housing and a piston displaceably arranged in the cylinder portion of the housing and/or in a guide sleeve in the housing. The piston-cylinder unit may be a slave cylinder or a master cylinder. The cylinder has a connection channel along one of its surface lines with an outer channel wall which is located in a portion of the connection channel located farthest from a center axis of the cylinder. The outer channel wall approximately follows a straight line and has an angle of inclination relative to the center axis which is greater than zero and preferably equal to or greater than a maximum installation angle of the installed position of the housing. The described arrangement of the deaeration bore hole at the highest possible location in the pressure space of the cylinder is advantageous for a deaeration of the hydraulic system for repairs and servicing.
