The present invention relates to a tracked amphibious vehicle having a vehicle frame and a pair of track assemblies attachable to a respective side of said vehicle frame, said vehicle frame being arranged to support a tilting vehicle cab and an engine configuration, said vehicle frame comprising a pair of separated longitudinal wall elements extending in the longitudinal direction of the tracked vehicle and a bottom element connecting said pair of longitudinal wall elements so as to form a space for supporting and housing said engine configuration, wherein said vehicle frame comprises an extension frame and has a lateral extension so that no portion of the vehicle frame extends laterally passed a respective track of said pair of track assemblies so as to allow easy access to said space.

The present invention relates to an amphibious vehicle comprising a vehicle frame and a cab supported by said vehicle frame, said cab being connected to said vehicle frame via hinge means so as to allow tilting of said cab about said hinge means between a closed position and an open position, wherein said vehicle comprises a sealing arrangement comprising sealing means arranged to provide liquid tight sealing between the cab and the vehicle frame in said closed position, wherein in the closed position, the sealing arrangement is arranged to provide a confined space for protecting components of said vehicle enclosed inside said space.

The invention relates to a drive unit for a tracked vehicle such as a tracked forwarder. The drive unit comprises a track support beam, at least one drive wheel, a set of support wheels and an endless track, said at least one drive wheel being arranged to drive said endless track running over said at least one drive wheel and said set of support wheels. The drive wheel and the support wheels are rotatably attached in said track support beam. The drive unit further comprises an electric motor attached to said at least one drive wheel and integrated in said track support beam, and a track support beam integrated lubrication system comprising a pump unit arranged for pressurized supply of lubricant to parts of the drive unit in need of lubrication.

In one aspect of the present invention is provided an attachment device (100) for attachment of a trailing arm (54a) to a track support beam (22) intended to be connected, via said trailing arm (54a), to a center beam (30, 32) or other structural element situated between two track assemblies (21) of a tracked vehicle (10). The attachment device (100) is secured to the track support beam (22) and configured to attach the trailing arm (54a) to the track support beam (22) via an axis (X2) running above and substantially centrally along an upper side of the track support beam (22), in the longitudinal direction of the track support beam. In this way, a robust, structurally strong, suspension-admitting attachment device that is easy to manufacture and assemble is achieved. In another aspect of the invention is provided a tracked vehicle (10) comprising such an attachment device (100) and in a further aspect of the invention a method of manufacturing a track support beam (22) comprising such an attachment device (100).

The invention relates to a drive unit for a tracked vehicle such as a tracked forwarder. Described is a track assembly for a tracked vehicle that comprises a track support beam configured to support road wheels, a drive wheel member, and a drive arrangement for drive wheel member operation and an endless track disposed around said road wheels and drive wheel member. Said drive arrangement comprises a motor device for driving said drive wheel member, a transmission device for transferring torque from said motor device to said drive wheel member and a brake arrangement for braking the drive wheel member. Said drive arrangement is configured to be coaxially arranged relative to a centre axis of said drive wheel member. A bearing configuration is arranged in said track support beam, said drive arrangement configured to be journaled in bearings to said bearing configuration for allowing rotation of said drive wheel member relative to said track support beam and for supporting said drive arrangement.

Said track assembly pair is arranged to suspendedly support said vehicle body allowing relative movement between said vehicle body and each track assembly (21) of said track assembly pair. Each track assembly (21) comprises a track support beam (22) configured to support a plurality of road wheels (23, 23a), a drive wheel (24), and a motor (110) for operating said drive wheel (24), an endless track (25) being disposed around said road wheels (23, 23a) and drive wheel (24). The present invention relates to an articulated tracked vehicle comprising a front and a rear vehicle unit connected by means of a rigid load-carrying frame. The load-carrying frame is pivotally attached to the front vehicle unit about a substantially vertical front steering link and pivotally attached to the rear vehicle unit about a substantially vertical rear steering link. The vehicle further comprises control means arranged to steer the front vehicle unit relative to the load-carrying frame about the front vertical steering link and to steer the rear vehicle unit relative to the load-carrying frame about the rear vertical steering link, wherein the control means is arranged such that the front and rear vehicle units are individually steerable relative to the load-carrying frame about their respective vertical steering links.
