Abstract: In certain embodiments, a system, a computer-implemented method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for enhanced ophthalmic visualization. A plurality of images corresponding to different portions of the electromagnetic spectrum are obtained and combined, such as by pixel-wise subtraction to obtain a combined image. The images may be weighted with weights selected to enhance visualization of features, such as layers of the retina or features corresponding to pathologies. The combined image may be processed, such as by a machine learning model, to extract features.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a system for obtaining ophthalmic information includes an illumination device having an optical fiber; a hyperspectral illumination source; a controller; a modulation device; and an imaging device. The modulation device is configured to receive first source light generated from the hyperspectral illumination source. The first source light includes multiple wavelengths. The modulation device is also configured to modulate each of the wavelengths with a different frequency to generate second source light having multiple frequency modulated wavelengths, and transmit the second source light to an optical fiber, which emits the second source light to contact an eye tissue. The imaging device selects a first frequency associated with a first frequency modulated wavelength and captures light returning from the eye tissue as a result of the first frequency modulated wavelength contacting the eye tissue. The controller determines parameter(s) of the eye tissue based on the return light.

Abstract: An illuminated contact lens system for illuminating an interior of a patient's eye includes a contact lens, an external light source, and a light engine. The lens refracts directed light into the eye. The light source emits the directed light toward the eye. The light engine transmits electronic control signals that cause the light source to emit the directed light. A prism array connected to an annular tube containing the light source may optionally shape the directed light into a conical distribution pattern. A control board may drive the light source in response to the electronic control signals, and may be optionally used as a proximity sensor. A method includes receiving the electronic control signals from the light engine via the control board, illuminating the light source, and emitting the directed light from the toward the eye.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a system, a computer-implemented method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for performing integrated analysis of MSI and OCT images to diagnose eye disorders. MSI and OCT are processed using separate input machine learning models to create input feature maps that are input to an intermediate machine learning model. The intermediate machine learning model processes the input feature maps and outputs a final feature map that is processed by one or more output machine learning models that output one or more estimated representations of a pathology of the eye of the patient. A single device captures OCT and non-OCT images using (a) a sensor of a first imaging device that is shared with a second imaging device and/or (b) an optical component for directing light form the retina to the first imaging device or the second imaging device.
