摘要: The described technology is generally directed towards adaptively selecting a repetition level in wireless communications, based on events to improve coverage range via the repetition level while not unnecessarily reducing throughput. One such event can include a current signal-to-noise-ratio, e.g., as reported in a channel quality indicator report from a user equipment. Another such event can comprise a number of consecutive hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgments or negative acknowledgments (HARQ ACKS/NACKS), in which consecutive ACKs tend to indicate good signal quality, while consecutive NACKs tend to indicate poor signal quality. A combination of channel quality indicator-based adaptive repetition level and HARQ ACK/NACK-based adaptive repetition level can be employed.

摘要: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system receives data regarding an operating environment of a user equipment device located in a cell of a cellular communication network. The method also includes analyzing the data to determine a power adjustment for a control signal transmitted to the UE device using a set of physical resource blocks (PRBs); allocating, in accordance with the analyzing, a subset of the PRBs for transmission of an adjusted control signal with an adjusted power greater than an initial default power; and transmitting the adjusted control signal to the UE device using the subset of the PRBs with the adjusted power. Other embodiments are disclosed.

摘要: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to need-based generation of multi-modal communication aids to aid verbal communications. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a user system can receive a request for a multi-modal communication aid to be used during a communications session between the user system and an additional user system. The communications session can include live audio and/or live video. The request can be received in response to a technology issue (e.g., poor audio quality) and/or a user issue (e.g., difficulty hearing). In response to the request, the user system can receive a selection of the multi-modal communication aid. The selection can be based upon a pre-defined multi-modal communication aid or a newly-created multi-modal communication aid (e.g., user-created or artificial intelligence-created). The user system can the provide the multi-modal communication aid to the additional user system via the communications service.

摘要: Techniques are described that facilitate intelligent management of adaptable audio-visuals of cloud-based video conferencing sessions. In one example embodiment, method comprises determining, by a system comprising a processor, capabilities of respective devices of participants of a video conferencing session provisioned via a communication network, the capabilities comprising audio-visual capabilities and connection capabilities of the respective devices related to communicating respective data streams of the video conferencing session via the communication network. The method further comprises determining, by the system, respective audio-visual settings of the video conferencing session applicable to the respective devices as a function of the capabilities of the respective devices, and controlling, by the system, performance of the video conferencing session at the respective devices in accordance with the respective audio-visual settings.

摘要: The disclosed technology is directed towards switching the primary cell in a carrier aggregation scenario to improve performance. Measurement data of a mobile device (user equipment) is evaluated with respect to one or more various criteria such as cell carrier bandwidth, cell carrier load, cell-related capability and other carrier data (e.g., dynamic spectrum sharing versus clean, time division duplex or frequency division duplex), and others. Device conditions such as overheating can be considered as well. The evaluation results in a ranking of primary cell candidates. If a more optimal primary cell (candidate) is available, the primary cell in the carrier aggregation combination is switched to the candidate that is ranked the highest. Switching can be relatively very fast, such as based on already existing layer-1 (L1) and/or layer-2 (L2) measurement data. Layer-3 (L3) measurement data also can be obtained on demand, for example, to use in the evaluation.

摘要: A processing system deployed in a communication network may detect a condition for merging at least a first logical network of the communication network and a second logical network of the communication network. The first logical network may be reserved for use by at least a first plurality of endpoint devices of at least a first public service entity, and the second logical network is reserved for use by at least a second plurality of endpoint devices of at least a second entity. The processing system may then merge the first logical network and the second logical network to create a merged logical network, in response to the detecting of the condition. The merging may include allocating a set of network resources to the merged logical network and authorizing the first plurality of endpoint devices and the second plurality of endpoint devices to access the merged logical network.

摘要: Example methods, computer-readable media, and endpoint devices for transmitting a failure information message containing a base station identifier, a frequency identifier, and location information of the endpoint device associated with a radio link failure are described. For instance, a processing system of an endpoint device including at least one processor may detect a radio link failure for a radio link between the endpoint device and a base station of a cellular network, determine location information of the endpoint device, the location information includes at least a coordinate position of the endpoint device, and determine a base station identifier that identifies the base station and a frequency identifier associated with a frequency of the radio link. The processing system may further transmit a failure information message containing the base station identifier, the frequency identifier, and the location information of the endpoint device.
