    摘要: A contact assembly and a vacuum circuit breaker for interrupting an electrical current are disclosed. The contact assembly includes an outer field generating element for generating a first axial magnetic field (AMF), and an inner field generating element for generating a second AMF opposite to the first AMF. The inner field generating element can be coaxial with the outer field generating element and can have a smaller diameter than the outer field generating element. The outer field generating element can be cup-shaped and slotted with non-radial slots to generate the first AMF. The contact assembly can include an innermost conducting element for nominal current conduction and coaxially adjusted with the inner field generating element.

The contact fingers are pressed on the contact arm via respective radially directed connection sections by a spring ring which is peripherally arranged around the contact fingers. The distal end section of the contact arm includes a first ring-shaped surface and an adjacent second ring-shaped surface, so that the connection section of each contact finger is pressed to at least both the first and second ring-shaped surfaces.

    摘要: An AMF contact for a vacuum interrupter includes concentric opposing contact pieces. The contact pieces include an external electrode shaped like a coil with a plate as a bottom plate of the external electrode, which generates a strong axial magnetic field, and an inner internal electrode as a top electrode carrying the nominal current. To enable the outer electrode to generate the axial magnetic field as requested for an application, a rod is arranged between the top electrode and the bottom plate. A first end of the rod is fixed at a lower side of the top electrode, and a second end of the rod is guided through an opening of the bottom plate. The second end of the rod has an extended head which locks or tightens the rod in a defined axial position. The disclosed embodiments are applicable for standard AMF or TMF (cup) contacts to reinforce them.
