    摘要: A contact assembly for connecting electrically and mechanically a first terminal of a first apparatus to a second terminal of a second apparatus, wherein at least one of the first and the second apparatus is movable with respect to the other along a connection/disconnection direction, includes: a plurality of electrically conducting contact-finger-elements, each including a main contact portion configured for engaging the second terminal and an auxiliary contact portion for engaging the first terminal, wherein the finger-contact-elements are supported by a support frame of the contact assembly connectable to the first terminal or are configured for being directly connectable and supportable by the first terminal; one or more spring elements configured for acting on the contact-finger-elements so to urge the main contact portions against the second terminal when the first and the second apparatus are connected. The main contact portions of at least two of the plurality of contact-finger-elements are shifted one relative to the other in such a manner so to engage the second terminal in subsequent moments when the first apparatus is being connected to the second apparatus by a relative movement thereof along the connection/disconnection direction.

    摘要: A building device with a front accessible address programming interface is provided. The building device includes a mounting base having front and rear surfaces. The front surface defines two connector channels extending towards the rear surface. The connector channels are spaced apart and sized to each receive a respective prong of a programming device connector plug. The building device further includes external terminals disposed on the rear surface, internal terminals, a group of normally closed switches having a common control input, and an actuator. Each switch connects an external terminal to a respective internal terminal when the common control input is deactivated to provide a network connection. The actuator is connected to the common control input and disposed such that the connector plug engages the actuator to activate the common control input of the switches when each of the connector channels receive a respective prong of the connector plug.

    摘要: A switch for use in transformer tap changing is modular in design, having standardized fixed contact units mounted in alignment on a base. Each contact unit has an electrical contact embedded in an insulating body, with a hollow bore formed through the insulating body and the embedded electrical contact. A cylindrical movable contactor having spaced contact bands is mounted on a shaft to be driven through the hollow bores of the fixed contact units between positions at which its contact bands engage the electrical contacts within adjacent fixed contact units. The electrical contacts of the fixed contact units are connected to different taps of the transformer to allow the transformer turns ratio to be adjusted by changing the position of the movable contactor. The drive shaft is connected by a mechanism to a handle mounted outside the tank of the transformer that can be operated to move the movable contact a selected distance to change the tap connections to the transformer.
