    摘要: An aimable vehicle headlamp is disclosed which has a lamp unit rigidly held by a mounting ring which is of rectangular, horizontally elongated shape as seen in a front view and which is to be mounted to a vehicle for rotary motion in every direction within limits. A helical tension spring is coupled to the mounting ring at a point adjacent one corner thereof for biasing the same toward the vehicle. A horizontal aiming screw extends between a first lug on one shorter side, away from the corner, of the mounting ring and the vehicle. A vertical aiming screw extends between a second lug on one longer side, also away from the corner, of the mounting ring and the vehicle. The second lug projects from the one longer side of the mounting ring a greater extent than does the first lug from the one shorter side of the mounting ring, so that approximately equal forces are required for turning the horizontal and vertical aiming screws.

At least the horizontal aiming screw is coupled to the lamp unit via a socket seat of flexible material fastened to the back of the lamp unit. The socket seat flexibly carries a socket in which the ball on one end of the horizontal aiming screw is engaged. The flexible socket seat takes up torsional stresses that are exerted on the horizontal aiming screw while this screw is being tightened or loosened for horizontally aiming the headlamp.

    摘要: A lamp using a discharge bulb as a light source in which the size thereof in axial directions is reduced. A discharge bulb incorporated in a lamp body is used as a light source. A lighting circuit for lighting the discharge bulb is accommodated in a case, and the case is integrated with the lamp body 1. The lighting circuit accommodating case, which is thin-structured, is arranged on the back side of a socket connector of the discharge bulb, and a circuit section constituting the lighting circuit is arranged in an outer circumferential region of the socket connector. Since the lighting circuit is arranged to the rear of the socket connector, it is not necessary to provide a space for arranging the lighting circuit, and therefore the lamp can be made thin. In addition, the discharge bulb can be mounted and removed through a space in the lighting circuit.

    摘要: A vehicular headlamp wherein aiming adjustment of two reflectors can be conducted accurately regardless of the positional relation between aiming screws operating in conjunction with each other. The headlamp includes first and second reflectors mounted in a lamp chamber defined by a lamp body opening at its front and a lens covering the front opening of the lamp body, the reflectors each being tiltable by turning of an aiming screw of a corresponding aiming mechanism that supports the corresponding reflector in a tiltable manner relative to the lamp body. A belt mechanism rotationally couples the two aiming screws for allowing the first aiming screw for tilting the first reflector and the second aiming screw for tilting the second reflector to be turned in conjunction with each other.
