    Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a technique for further improving the vibration reducing performance in an impact tool. A representative impact tool includes a tool body, a cylinder housed within the tool body, a dynamic vibration reducer having a weight that linearly moves under a biasing force of an elastic element, wherein the dynamic vibration reducer reduces vibration of the tool body during hammering operation by the movement of the weight in the axial direction of the tool bit, and a mechanical vibration mechanism that actively drives the weight by applying external force other than vibration of the tool body to the weight via the elastic element. The weight and the elastic element are disposed on the axis of the tool bit and between an inner wall surface of the tool body and an outer wall surface of the cylinder in such a manner as to cover at least part of the outer wall surface of the cylinder in the circumferential direction.

    Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide an effective technique for reducing the manufacturing costs of a handle mounted to a power tool. According to the invention, a representative handle may comprise a handle body, a grip, an elastic element and an elastic outer surface member. The grip is hollow-shaped and the handle body is inserted into the grip. The elastic element is disposed between the inner surface of the grip and the outer surface of the handle body to apply a biasing force to the grip upon movement of the grip with respect to the handle body when vibration of the power tool is transmitted from the handle body to the grip. The elastic outer surface member covers the outer surface of the grip. The elastic outer surface member is integrally formed with the elastic element. As a result, the manufacturing costs can be reduced compared with known construction in which the elastic outer surface member and the elastic element are separately formed.

    Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a vibration reducing technique which is effective in obtaining stable vibration reducing effectiveness. A representative vibration isolating handle may include a body, a grip part and an elastic member. The handle body is provided to be attachable to the power tool. The grip part is connected to the handle body such that the grip part can move relatively with respect to the handle body substantially in the same direction at least as vibration of the power tool. The elastic member is provided between the handle body and the grip part. The elastic member applies a biasing force to the grip part when the grip part moves. According to the invention, vibration of the grip part can be reduced by the vibration absorbing function of the elastic member with stability regardless of whether the force of the user gripping the grip part is large or small.
