    Abstract: A metal pipe having a thickened end portion, the metal pipe includes: when viewed in a longitudinal direction of the metal pipe, a thin portion which has a thickness t0; a first thickened portion which is provided on one end and has a thickness T which is larger than the thickness t0; and a first taper portion which is provided between the thin portion and the first thickened portion and has the thickness which gradually increases from t0 to T; when a hardness of an inner surface of the first thickened portion is measured in a circumferential direction and the hardness is plotted with respect to a position in the circumferential direction, in which a waveform representing a high hardness portion having a hardness which is 95% or more of a maximum hardness in the circumferential direction and a waveform representing a low hardness portion having a hardness which is less than 95% of the maximum hardness alternately appear, and a plurality of combinations of the waveform representing the high hardness portion and the waveform representing the low hardness portion appear.

    Abstract: What is described is a transfer tube for use with an airfoil of a gas turbine engine coupled to a platform. The transfer tube includes a main body having a first end defining an inlet configured to receive a flow of fluid and a second end defining an outlet for the flow of fluid, the main body having a curved section. The transfer tube also includes a first mating face coupled to the first end of the main body. The transfer tube also includes a second mating face coupled to the second end of the main body.     Abstract: Disclosed herein is wastewater pipe having a shape that is operable to flow both small and large volumes of wastewater. The wastewater pipe includes a bottom portion with a different diameter than to top portion. The top and bottom portions of the wastewater pipe are connected by side walls that extend tangentially from the bottom portion and intersect tangentially with the top portion. The pipes may also variously include alignment tabs.

    Abstract: A corrugated plate structure including a plurality of first rows of members, each first row including a first plurality of members connected end-to-end lengthwise.     Abstract: The present invention provides a transfer line exchanger which is optimized for one or more objective functions of interest such as pressure drop, erosion rate, fouling, coke deposition and operating costs. The transfer line exchanger is designed by computer modeling a transfer line exchanger in which the cross section of flow path is substantially circular and modeling the operation of the transfer line under industrial conditions to validate the model design and its operation. Then iteratively the model design is deformed and the operation of the deformed part is modeled and compared to values obtained with other deformed models until the value of the objective function is optimized (e.g. at an extreme) or the change in the objective function is approaching zero.
